We've been using 2.6l Diesel FAW truck, with 10' bed, for the very same business. I can tell you about that if you're interested.

P.S. Even if you're (I do hope) not interested, I'd advise as a professional to another professional, to go for a Suzuki pickup.

    @ uiv,
currently we are using suzuki pickup's , but having weight problems even added leafs, change tyres.
Faw picks 1000 kg with long bed and 13 inch tyre size, 2-years warranty.
But I saw only 2 vehicles in peshawar and I want experience from other cities (punjab & sindh).

FAW vehicles aren't bad if you talk about chassis, body, engine, or drive-train. But its those little thing that make them pain in the bottom; like hydraulic clutch and brake kit problems, bearing, generator and starter motor problems, pathetic plastic parts those take a breeze to break apart and a life time to find and fix... etc.

There are almost no after sales services and parts are nightmare, and don't even think about warranty, it practically doesn't exist at all.

My first warranty claim took more than a month to process- and that too when I told them that I would contact FAW in China to let them know the situation.
For my second warranty claim, they wasted my 4 days while I had to rent a truck, kept my truck in workshop, broke my speedometer cover, and still failed to fix the problem.

Those vehicles are not bad, I can live with little problems, Suzuki aren't much better either, but the unavailability of parts and such an unprofessional and uncooperative attitude of officials is unbearable.

Today I visited FAW peshawar office, The company (alhaj-faw) was there and he told me that since from launch they have sold more than 3000 faw carier/pickups.
The body is strong, good tyres, seats looking good, roomy cabin, eye catching deck/bed. engine sounds good. price 7,34000/- ex karachi.
I agree with < uiv > thae plastic parts are very pathic , final finishing is not better than suzuki.
