    I used to enjoy working on mehrans,, why? well.... with air tools it takes about half hour for anything, the problem is that the parts associated with "anything" are made from items sourced from "teen dabbay waala"

    100% agreed

    everything is crap, replacement parts and what not

    brand new axles cost 27000 PKR from suzuki, no good aftermarket available.


    there are some things I have changed to reduce cost, such as side mirrors - the original side mirrors break if someone blinks an eye to them, the ones i have now are from some old toyota

    i re-did all of my wiring, bought the wiring set brand new, cut it, installed a relay junction, used a roll of good quality wires keeping the inner side of the wiring original while the wiring that goes to anything on the engine end of the firewall is custom have about three extra relays as well in case I need to add something

    next i'm working / researching on better ball joints -making the original control arms of mehran to allow ball joints to be press fit, any ideas on this one? or should I let this go?

    install grease nipples on the ball joints, grease them every 6 months. One pump is usually enough - replacement ball joints usually have about a slight coating of oil only. I think the factory workers sleep when its time to fill grease.

    yeah new ball joints of most cars are like 'dry'

    what kind of grease should one use?
    I have lots of this in stock, would this grease be OK?

    yep XHP220 is a very good grease for this purpose. You would need a grease gun to pump the grease. XHP is also meant to be used in disc brake wheel bearings.

    old corolla, corona, cressida, mercedes benz etc. require this when packing the bearings.

    I dont think that a new suzuki had this quality grease even at the factory.
