Default Best tyres and rims for vitz

    Gents,

I have been going thorugh most of the threads which are very helpful to newbies like me. Just wanted a quick one on the best tyres and if need be alloy rims for vitz 2010 model. The reason I am unable to figure this out is that I need to have economy with grip and especially ground clearance. Would really appreciate all advices and additional comments regarding handling of vitz.

    Thanks all.

Hey thanks emaad will try it. Currently I am using toyata genuine oil. Gives me 13 to 14. But I am concerned with the issue of ground clearance. I have 4 to 5 family members and the car then hits every breaker on the way.
    Would appreciate your support

Salam, could you advise me on a couple of things. I shall be getting my vitz 1000cc model 2013 soon. It has done 10,000 KM. Confirmed, no meter tempering. I am a little confused on motors oil. I have both Mobil1 new life 0w40 and mobil1 advance full synthetic 5w30 made in USA. Which one will be suitable for the car. I mean better.

I shall also purchase alloy rims from Lahore. Can you guide me where to go? I mean the best ones. And of which size?

Better to get 185 profile tyre in 14" rim size as it is close to factory specification.

As far as engine oil is concern, I am using Mobil Super 5000 from last 1.5 yrs. Its viscosity is 15w - 40w. The odometer reading is 83k and I am not having any problems with it. For more good results pour Mobil one in your vehicle.

    Brother OEM size for this model is 165/70 R14 for 1.0L & 185/60 R15 for 1.5L model.

    I recommend 185/65 R14 for local roads.

Michelin XM2 are goood if budget is not a problem and on budget tyres Kumho KH11 and KH25 are good.

Brother 5W30 is much better for local environment but I doubt that you will not source US oils frequently so its best ot stick with Japanese Toyota OEM oil readily available for Rs.3,300.

Thanks brad for your kind advise. I already have Mobil 1 5W30 Advanced full synthetic (ILSAC GF-5 standard) made in USA, and inshallah It won't be a problem for me to source this in future. Thanks.

Thanks, I now Michelin is the top most in the market, but I personally like Bridgestone brand. Any idea if I can get Bridgestone Turanza or Potanza in Lahore.

Brother dont know about LHR but here in Karachi we have Turanza ER30 (old stock), Turanza AR20 (5,700), MY-02 (6,200), Turanza GR90 (7,900) and Ecopia EP150 (7,000) for 14 inch.

Ecopia EP150 is the best pattern.

You can also fit 195/55 R15 Potenza RE002 but its as expensive as Rs. 12,000/piece.

But Ecopia which is available is made in Taiwan, insan't it. Where as, Turanza and Potanza can be found in European manufacturing like Spain etc.

    Can I fit 185-70-R14.

All Bridgestones Turanza I have seen here are from Indonesia with 2014 Manufacturing.

    Europeans were of 2012 year.

185/70 R14 would be too big and not a modern profile.

185/65 R14 is the best size.

You can also try 185/60 R15.

Its the rubber that ultimately matters more than the size.

    Try some good rims.

Brother this model does not have ground clearance issue.

If your car hits on roads than simply install a 0.5 inch spacer at all corners.
