Default Mehran Engine - Overhaul or get a new one?

Guys I have a 2003 Mehran. its running on CNG since 2005 and it was overhauled in 2010 and now again its a mess. Its drinking the mobil oil like anything and my mechanic said that the engine needs overhauling and the exact budget will be given only after the engine is "opened". But a rough estimate if every part is to be replaced would reach Rs. 35000.
I spoke to a friend and he said that I should get a new engine from Bilal Gunj and even including the fitting it wont cost more than 35000.
Now what do you guys say, is it better to go for overhauling or to buy an engine from bilal gunj? I want the exact style engine not the Efi one. Which makes it an engine from 2008-2011 Mehran I guess. It won't be running on CNG ever again even if CNG is available at half rates in the future.
So, whats better and whats cheaper, to get a new engine from Bilal Gunj Lahore or should I go for overhauling.
How much would a Mehran engine cost in Bilal Gunj?

PLEASE DON'T SUGGEST GOING TO SUZUKI FOR AN ESTIMATE.

you can not trust the new one from bilal gunj completely. make sure an expert picks it for you, newer engine is clearly better than overhauling the old one but the price is your concern, i dont know anything about that

I'm 100% against overhauling the engines (mainly after wasting 70,000 on overhauling the engine from a dirty dishonest mechanic).

But in case of Mehran, I would recommend overhaul. As I don't expect an imported/Qabli carby engine to be available anywhere.

What will you get most likely will be some engine removed from a Pakistani Mehran, and chances of it going long term are rare.

    Just my 2 cents...

If repair cost is almost equal to engine cost then try to buy new engine. Your mechanic will never advice u 4 new engine bcoz he will earn some bucks
