After reading different threads and posts regarding the Karachi reg. cars issue, I've concluded that no issues arise Anymore. It was common before.

Still, let the more experienced members reply regarding the fuel average, I simply don't know.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Many are still Sceptical about Sindh Registrations as they can Turn out to be fake or have bad history. In addition, since such Vehicles have a higher Chance ov Rusting, they have Lesser resale. Hence it is best if you let go ov that.

there is absolutely no problem(s) driving car(s) with SINDH regn plates. The Only PROBLEM ACROSS PAKISTAN is there is no way of paying MOTOR VEHICLE TAX out of province of regn. i.e vehicle with KPK regn depositing tax in Balochistan is defaulter when papers are submitted for ownership transfer, because tax deposit in Balochistan stands null-n-void and tax with penalty is imposed at time of transfer. There is no inter-provincial treasury deposit & data sharing. so if you choose to buy a car out of your province ensure that you do the complete transaction and transfer the car to your province of residence. - Peace of mind

Just be sure to deposit tax in Khi or Sindh and also transfer in your name if you want to.

A normal 2003 VTi manual hardtop will cost you 750K here.

Top of the line UG grade will be 50k expensive.

Just check closely the suspensions, steering / pump, gearbox and engine condition it will easily cost you 150k if they are in bad condition.

Civic 2003-05 has the worst fuel average among all civic its a gas guzler.

7-8 km/l in city traffic with AC for manual car.

Highway average is little better and will go 10-12km/l for manual VTi.

Exi is most fuel efficient despite whatever advertisement claims honda have about VTi fuel efficiency they are either all wrong or do not work in Pakistan.

I have had plenty of Karachi registered cars. Used them in Lahore and Islamabad and never got troubled by any police wala. I enter cities at night mostly. No issues whatsoever.

Resale is a bit less but it sells without a hitch.

Currently I own a 2005 exi prosmatec and a friend has a 99 corolla 2. Both are Karachi registered

Regarding fuel average, no ideas. Never measured it. But it does not give a very good fuel average

Fuel ave 8 to 9 per litre. And for the sindh number only paying tax will be lil extra effort.

Brother Vti is 1.6L 130PS at 6,600 RPM & Exi is 1.5L 110PS 5800 RPM there is no change in engine gearbox from 2001 May to 2006 June.

If u want to drive at 2,000 RPM and watch Alto & Cuore overtake you from wrong side you may achieve 9km/L max in summer from a VTi.

The Steermatic 1.5L VTEC and 1.2L IDSI Vario shape city are nearly 40-50% more fuel efficient as they have the all new design L series engines and Civic has the decades old D series.

The 2003 Vti and 2004 are all same except for front lights.

VTi has ABS and Oriel model has sunroof dual MAP lights and retractable mirrors.

For city driving EXi is much more fuel efficient and engine is also much more reliable on CNG and automatic also.

My 2 Exi have mashAllah done more than 200,000 km without any engine overhaul.

I had almost kept and sold 18-20 of these civics with family and sons. Still have 2 EXi, one cateye Prosmatec and one Eagle Eye M/T and one UG grade VTi Prosmatec car on petrol.

My honest advice for u would be to buy a 2004 May-June EXi PROSMATEC with Eagle Eye clean car will cost you 800,000 in excellent condition.

There is no point of buying this car in manual transmission.

Manual vti and exi are not that fuel thirsty as a member has posted above although prosmatec's are fuel guzzlers. My manual exi 05 is giving almost 12-13 km/l in city on petrol no idea about cng as I never installed it

    City Steermatic has gearbox problems.

Get a low mileage less than 100,000km 2006 City Vario if u want to run on petrol will cost you 750,000 from KHi.

Vario will give you 50% more fuel economy than Civic even if someone on PW says that his civic goes 17km/L. Remember 13km/L translates to nearly 40MPG in City which is only a dreamland fantasy.

10+ years old cars running on CNG that too Honda is a big NO.

Purchasing Honda is very easy keeping it in good shape is hard.

i had to migrated from karachi to rwp in 2004-05.. since then i have been keeping karachi number only cars... i have been to south punjab, to afghan border to any place u name it and i have been there... there is no issue of khi number at all.. its only created by dealers, and unfortunately few racist people... khi number if not the safest then perhaps one of the most safest numbers in the country u can keep ... the system is very well organized and there r very few chances of it being "tempered".. the best way to overcome tax issue is, pay it in advance, and or tell someone to do it.. there r many who r offering such services nowadays...
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"
