Default Must read before buying new battery (UPS or Car)

To prolong battery life and get maximum performance must follow these points.

    1. Never Use battery without initial charging.

    2. Never charge the battery soon after putting the electrolyte in it.

    3. Leave the battery at least 25 to 30 minutes after adding electrolyte than connect
with charger which gives 10% ampere of battery capacity.

    4. Charge the battery till it reaches 15V and, replace the battery caps, look all cells are
    producing bubbles equally.

    5. Every battery have a manufacturing date printed on it........Purchase latest newly
    manufactured one.

    6. Make sure that before adding the electrolyte, battery was completely sealed and air tight.

    7. Now some companies offering already prepared electrolyte, prefer that one, rather
then prepared by the electrician or battery vender.

Any query regarding battery will be honestly entertained up to My knowledge Insha Allah

I have experienced 10kva and smaller APC ups systems in our datacenter. real beautiful thing but to use it in homes for loadshedding backup it needs to be modified for fast charging and that too from some experienced engineer. what are the specs of your provided APC?

No offense bro but I have experienced warranties in Pakistan are not that much affective. Have had bad experiences.

How long your battery lasted before getting weak? Sincere advise... stay miles away from Exide as their quality is not that great. Phoenix and AGS are better brands than exide.

Ok........if all cells shows 1150 gravity then.......its mistake of battery vendor who added electrolyte at first time........Take your batteries where from you purchased.........tell him the whole story and get set the gravity properly..

In winter battries remain full most of the time. So no use of switching it off. But if there is no loadsheding at all, then manual loadshedding is necessary for battery health

Actualy my intentions were to give some rest to my fragile toy like homage UPS , it seems its a trade off betwean battery and UPS if i turn it off its bad for battery and 24hr operation for 365 days is bad for UPS .............

Guys, could you please suggest me a reliable battery for my car as I have bought 4 batteries and all seem to stop working after 1 year (except the third one which was Osaka, it lasted for 4 years!). Please don't suggest Exide because all the rest of the batteries were Exide (and are a total waste of money) and I'm fed of them now.

your battery health a lot depends upon your the quality of electrolyte used and your charging device.

in my humble opinion, you can put 95% of blame on above two factors whereas rest 5% on the brand.

get your alternator checked as may you switch to whatever brand, you will experience the same results.
