Default Must read before buying new battery (UPS or Car)

To prolong battery life and get maximum performance must follow these points.

    1. Never Use battery without initial charging.

    2. Never charge the battery soon after putting the electrolyte in it.

    3. Leave the battery at least 25 to 30 minutes after adding electrolyte than connect
with charger which gives 10% ampere of battery capacity.

    4. Charge the battery till it reaches 15V and, replace the battery caps, look all cells are
    producing bubbles equally.

    5. Every battery have a manufacturing date printed on it........Purchase latest newly
    manufactured one.

    6. Make sure that before adding the electrolyte, battery was completely sealed and air tight.

    7. Now some companies offering already prepared electrolyte, prefer that one, rather
then prepared by the electrician or battery vender.

Any query regarding battery will be honestly entertained up to My knowledge Insha Allah

No I don't want MagicEYE I was taking it as quality standard that howcome a company decide to install a magiceye and then change mind

It seems I have to buy a seperate charger for these occasional current topups...........
There is nothing wrong with DMM. Usually it display nearest and closest values of Voltage or current etc. I tell you the way to check cutoff point then update us with results:

First note that 3 points/dots are charged and display on led display fully and when 4rth point is charging or running then measure the values of voltage at different time until 4rth point will charged- this will give you idea what is actual cutoff voltage and when all points are fully strong/charged then it will tell you floating voltage which should round about 13.66V or some near values.

If your values are not up to spec then go to College road if you live in ISB/RWP, you will find many shops there who repair your inverter according to specs by using same components used by homage and their rates are also less then homage which ripping the people by putting cheap components on pcb and will cause many problem in futures.

Ok I started checking at 13.25V, 3 bars were stable and 4rth was flashing and then again when bars stoppped flashing & fan was stopped then voltages were at 13.42V (its same every time)
I'm in Lahore and will try to look around if someone else can modify it, actually it is not just the charges, in the peak of hot summer it is not possible for 4 to 6 days delay at Homage service center along with insulting attitude of staff

    @Ishtiaq778
Bro i have a generator which has DC volts out too. Can i charge a new UPS battery on it? The generator DC output switch says 8 amps.
I know batteries should be charged at a particular charge rate but due to load shedding and Jahill battery shops i don't think any new battery can ever be completely charged. So i am thinking of too prepare a new battery with pyro electrolyte and charge it continuously on that generator DC 8 amps output. Charge the battery till it reaches 14.4 volts. And check its gravity and adjust if need with distilled water. And consider a job well done.
Do you think my generator's DC output can handle and charge the battery without damaging it self?

Yes dear..........no problem if your generator is good enough......to give 8A.....

Not possible with big hydrometer, smaller is not available, so only battery volts on pole state the condition of battery.....

And voltage on poles should be 12.6 or above right?

    Ok. Thanx alot bro

A question there is battery in one of our motorbike's this battery doesn't go above 13.9 volts when i charge it on generator. But the other battery in my other bike easily goes to 14.2 - 14.4 volts when i charge it both are AGS but one is a bit week than other. The one that doesn't go above 13.8 volts stabilises at 12.4 volts by the way Not on 12.6.

    What can be the issue?

If both batteries are of same age...then one battery showing less volts a little weak but ok......not to worry if it maintains volts @ 12.4.
