    Default SWIFT engine washing....].

    SALAM Friends..
iam posting this thread for them who wants to to clean their cars efi engines (city-swift-mehran euro ii-corolla etc)
and are confused that how to clean engine in a proper way.
so first if engine is xtremely dirty than start with surf mixture+petrol .
just go to any servise station and ask servise guy to wash ur engine by just surf+petrol mmethod is to mix surf with petrol but dont use even a single drop of water and wash it with pressure air +petrol and surf.
2nd after cleaning engine with surf and petrol leave ur car for 15-20 mins after that another half liter of petrol with 3-5 spoons of oil i personaly used gear which was kept in my car but make sure it is unused and new.mix petrol and oil shake it well in a bottle and apply it on ur car engine it will be like new and will shine like a diamond
(if ur car engine is not extremely dirty then just wash it by petrol with oil mixture ) and u can even apply this at ur home)
ITS NOT necesory to use presure air with 2nd point (oil and petrol) i washed my engine recently pics are coming.
    thankx.
the first 4 pics are after engine is washed and the 1pic is before the wash just check the diffrnce...

Wow, that is strange. I had 23 KM on ODO when I got my car, it was driven off the Carrier from Karachi near Faisalabad and driven from Jhang road to Suzuki showroom!

Well, honestly, Today I saw a 130,000km driven Swift 2010 Model. It had a shiny engine bay. I was wondering what the owner used- Exactly same as OP said" Diesel, petrol and oil mixed" .... o_O

might as well mix kerosene, grease and wax too.

doesnt matter - petroleum eats natural rubber.

This is a wrong method. Use pre soak for proper cleaning.

3S is only a name- They know chit all. I only go there in case they mess something up- at least I can put the blame on them!
Idiot tried taking off petrol hose without my permission, luckily I realized last second- Caught him in the act with pliers, told him to put the clamp back and never think of it again!

my car has done about 265,000 kms - it still has its original serpentine belt that was installed from the factory, it also has original coolant pipes.

The plastic vacuum lines and rubber lines are still perfect. The only lines that have gone bad are the PCV ones which carry oil vapor in them, they are now hard as rock.

I can guarantee it was never washed with such stuff. Under my ownership the engine gets cleaned with simple green aircraft cleaner when I want to remove a spill or Im about to remove a nearby part.

Have you ever wondered why Pakistani cars engine wiring becomes hard as rock?

Is it a mercedes? I would change that belt if i was you after all it is a part that wears over time and can make you stop wherever it breaks

I have a new belt in spare sitting in the boot along with all tools required for change. All my cars have this one item as carry spare along with tool roll.

I have checked the belt with a proper belt groove gauge and its perfect. Odd isnt it? The belt is pretty clean and the markings are not worn away. I can read the part no and date etc.

Originally I bought a new one to replace it - I took it out - checked it with a gauge (free from gates - available at spare parts shop) - the belt grooves are great - no chipping or cracking either. Its made by Continental.

Installed it back - just like the service manual says. Inspect belt and replace if required. - in this case the belt passed the test.

There is no vibration in the belt when the engine runs and the tensioner remains steady - changed the tensioner due to being a faulty design and had a slightly noisy roller.
