    Default Passo battery issue.

Guys, It's been almost 3 months my passo is parked at home as Ive been using my mehran nowadays, so finally after almost 3 months I sat in my passo but it's showing meter lights, DVD and everything in working but engine not starting as "self" sounded low and then sounded like it's slipping (that is because of low battery). Now if I put my mehrans battery in passo just to start it for that Ill have to remove my passo's original dry-battery's terminal which I heard can reset my mileage and most dangerously can remove my original navigation dvd's software, experts please share your opinions. Thanks.

you must have tuned to local language regional FM channel for braille users, carefully i can say who ever told you of a joke about odo reset on battery removal must be from NASA & talking about the 777 landed at Moon .. Just DO IT, and use remote to change channel to avoid being paranoid !

Actually I've read some quotes on Passo fans page on PW and it was somebody's experience and read people talking about DVD software being erased when battery terminals removed and people agreeing to that statement so was scared as I didn't actually want to risk it bro

Well, you will have to replace the battery once in the lifetime of the car, han?

That's exactly what I was thinking right after posting the thread :p, but want to know that if it's of no harm to the car to Jump Start it through another battery (Mehran's in my case) while the Passo's terminal are already connected with the original dry battery?

I know right!, this is not normal but since Ive read that I didnt want to face the software re-installation cost just due to a replacement of battery.

u dont need to disconnect any battery terminals & there is no harm in jump starting the car. plzz be careful with the polarity while connecting high current jump start cables.

as the pic suggest that Attach the black-handled negative clamp on the live battery and "other end of the same black-handled negative clamp on the dead car's engine's metal piece" so is it necessary to attach the black negative wire clamp on any metal on engine OR can we attach it on the dead battery's negative point?

U can connect it directly to Battery negative terminal but jumper cables should be of good quality & no lose clamps

By the way how a battery gonna blast if u r connecting it in a right way (correct polarity & voltage rating)? in his case Dry battery is dead & Lead Acid wet battery is live so more Hydrogen will b produced in live battery while cranking. Cranking with take hardly 1 to 3 seconds.
