Default Yokohama A drive or Hankook Korea 195/65R15.

I want to change 195/65R15 Eurostar tires on corolla 2013 with following and want to retain original configuration. Right now, original tires are 18k driven and in very good condition and shops at Rawalpindi are offering me Rs 8000 on all of them. Kindly suggest as what should be the right price for these old tires.

Following are the prices offered to me in market, right now I am considering Yokohama A drive and Hankook Korea kindly suggest pros and cons against these, in good budget and if price offered on old tires are ok or not.

    Michelin Energy Savor XM2 ------------------------------
Yokohama Advanced DB -----------------------------------Price unknown, don?t remember exactly
    Yokohama C drive ------------------------------------------Rs 7800
    Yokohama A drive -------------------------------------------Rs 7600
    Hankook Korea ---------------------------------------------- dont know

    Dear Talha,

    My suggestions are based on experience with both these tyres on 2010 Altis;

1-I found Nitto Extreme Touring NT-650 to be a very good, especially at high speed travel on motor way with excellent grip in dry & wet cornering. I used them for 35k and replaced as they were 3year old with 75% thread still there. As this is a touring tyre its medium hard.

    Tyres Nitto Tire NT 650 - www.iTyre.com

2-Now I have the Yokohama DNA Ecos, these are very soft and silent tyres, as they are soft so they are not as good at high speed cornering (salt range) as the Nitto. Still have excellent dry & wet grip.

    ?^?C???FDNA ECOS - ???R?n?}?^?C?? [YOKOHAMA TIRE]

Both are highly recommended, do check them out.

Yokohama A Drive is entry level Yokohama tyre. I`m using Yokohama A Drive size 195/55/15 and I have no idea about Hankook but like them better than Dunlop Lm 702 which I was using before. I found Yokohama A Drive to have better grip, less road noise and better tyre life.

Check if you can get Yokohama Earth. It is specifically made fore economy, it has better rolling resistance than A Drive and you will get upto 10% more fuel mileage. Price is almost same as far as I can recall.

Yesterday, finally after some research I opted for General Euro klass 195/65/14 for gli 2007. Tyres are just fresh and bought from Authorized dealer in RWP.

Thanks brother, tomorrow I will be changing them and now it’s a between Hankook or Yokohama drive C. I have received very good feedback regarding Hankook the only thing I don’t like is a white writing on its side wall.

Go for C Drive without any second thought...Nothing beats Japanese technology and please if you get it do tell me that the one you got has the H Rating or V means either it will be 95H or 91V if it is V then it means it can go uptil 240 km/h which is mindblowing...But the one I have got is the H rating one means I can't take my car above 210 km/h!!!

Though 210 km/h also is not a small thing but who doesn't wants the better thing...I got the tyres for 8,500 a piece last year and that too with the H rating one...I guess the V rating one is genuine...Guys please correct me if I am wrong if you people have info about this story!!!

what ever u opt for but stay away from Dunlop
they have worst grip in rain also its hard compund tires and side wall is not as flexable as other tires like driving and u hit something from side they get ruptured easily
    C drive or Hankooks
i got hankooks on my car and friend got yoks both are similar but in comfortable ride hakook has little edge over yoks just a minor
about side wall writing well hankooks come with some other tire in size which has white walls but writing makes no diff ask some one as these tires can be mounted any way so white writing can be hidden

Thanking you so much friends, ended up buying Yokohama Drive C for around Rs 7625 each tire plus Rs 200 on installation charges. Got lucky this time as during day time they were giving better rates on old tires. One of the old tires shop offered 9k whereas another offered 10,000 for old ones(Eurostar 195/65R15) so I accepted without the need for negotiations as that was what was in my mind. Yokohama drive C had a manufacturing date of 3513 and 4513 printed on it so was sure that they were the fresh piece.

I was all up for Hankook after reading reviews on Pakwheels but after reading @suzukialtomehran comments got more inclined toward yokohama. Anyway, good to see people defending Hankook as surly I will try those on my Honda city whose replacement is already due.
