Default Buying a Generator - Suggestions required

    Aoa guys,

I was considering buying a generator since UPSes cant give enough backup in today's load shedding, but still I only want it as a secondary backup. Primary being the UPS.

Basically I just want to run 3,4 fans & a few savers on it. Only when our UPS dies due to long load shedding + in case some repair or maintenance work is going on with wapda.

So far I have accessed my need to be:

    1. Best reliability, trouble free, should run smooth, take full load, no fluctuations whatsoever.

    2. Power 1kv - 1.5kv

    3. Fuel efficient - 1ltr an hour max.
(I plan to run on patrol, I think gas would only ruin its life and performance? What ebt diesel ones?)

    4. Low noise

    5. Preferably self start

    6. Spares, services maintenance officially/easily available.

Are Chinese brands any good? What about Korean or Taiwanese? Any reputed names?

How much Honda or Yamaha gens gonna cost? Saw a hyundai generator today too, he was asking 27ks for 900watt hand operated gen! :|

running at peak output would decrease the service life of genny, always buy a bigger one than u need, atleast 2.5kva as chinese ones dont have good resale so whatev u buy, u r gonna be stuck with it for sometime.

Bro yes I know that, but still 1kv is more than enough for me as practically we just need 2fans and 2savers running... and 1kv can easily get this done, this is not more than 70% of its peak capacity... but still I understand your point, will prefer buying 1.5-2kv

Year according to the coupling generators, i have one in my house i.e. for house and my father's office load, one thing is for sure, ap jo marzi engine lagao, sirf alteration motor ka faraq hota hai. Like agar if you want 16KVA generator tu engine same 1.8l ka ho ga aur woh cost karay ga Rs.185K, aur agar 22-25 KVA ka ho ga tu woh cost karay ga almost Rs. 225K. so, sirf motor ka paise ki saving hai par engine wohi hota hai.
About poster, if you are still in process of buying generator then go for 2.5-3.0 KVA,
    Go for
    Loincin,
    Homeage.

This is NOT A FAKE Jasco, this is infact the most robust and popular model of jasco available from last 10years!

Hence some people try and make copies... Alhamdolillah, I have bought it straight from company.

Wish me keh Allah mubarik kary, mene apne maa baap k sakun k liye khareeda ha... aur maqsad pura hona chahye. Ameen!

Need to know, how much amperes my generator should provide to its battery?

Its a 30amp lead acid battery and generator is giving it mere 0.65 amperes to charge...

Even 1 volt gain takes ages? Battery is at 11 volts and would require a good half hour generator run to gain just one volt... can i tweak its charging?

Congrats brother, May your decision be successful in coming future for you. Ameen. But note one thing it is written that you can load it to 2KVA but don't ever try to do it because if you do it the AVR will be destroyed in no time and worst case scenario can be destroying of rotory motor.
