    Unhappy Latest Corolla or Civic?

I have been thinking about buying new car from weeks. I have only 2.3M rs so I will be able to afford i-VTEC variant of Civic and Altis Grande variant of Corolla. New technology and features do matter for me aside from looks so do let me know about differences between features. Tbh, I'm really confused. What do you think?

P.s When was the 9th generation Civic released? Just making sure that the new model of Civic isn't near.

the only thing which I care the most is not available in Corolla and that is immobilizer.
if this is not so important for you, then corolla is the best option for you. since its a newer and good looking shape.

Don't count out a JDM, that's all I'll say. Can you get a Prius in that budget?

Even the basic civic is better than the new corolla in terms of specs.
Get a civic with the new android based navigation and enjoy a trouble free 10 years
This car has reasonable mileage, spares easily available, the Honda mechanics do routine tuning - they know what to do and you've a nice comfortable car which has all safety features found in family cars abroad.
Byung a JDM prius or second hand Mercedes will have its own issues... You won't know if it's accidented, what it's true mileage is. And if you want a genuine car, you will have to import it yourself which has its own hassles.
In Pakistan, buy a PKDM. The civic won't let you down in anyway.
It's shape isn't changing for the next few years. They've upgraded the navigation system and that's about it for now.
If you're very keen to buy an import, then read about review about such cars on this forum explaining their maintenance costs - you wont find any. Because the owners don't want to tell anyone it costs thousands to just get the oil changed of their German executive c class (which costs as much a civic) from an authorised dealership (ie shahnawaz) - I'm sure you won't want your precious imported car to be fixed by a road side mechanic called 'bubloo' who has a screw driver and a hammer as his 'high tech' tools.
There, I've explained it to you. I was in the same fix as you last year. And we bought a civic. Even though we could get a reasonable import in that price, I'm glad we chose a PKDM..
    It's safe and reliable.

Hope this clears up the matter.
Now go buy a civic. In silver. Get the tyres changed immediately. And enjoy driving

The trunk isn't closed in this pic as confirmed on another thread by the person who took the pic.

If you're a typical Pakistani who doesn't care about car being stolen, other features such as climate control, passenger airbag etc and only want a good looking car then go for 1.6 altis.
If you really care about your hard earned money, passenger and other goodies then Civic.
Yes interior built quality of Corolla is poor as some images are shared by members, you can see the sunroof area of a corolla and civic in pictures above which has Day and Night difference.
Best option would be a Prius, but again you don't know about it's history, whether is is touched or in jenyaaan condition!

Yeah, the trunk wasn't closed, it was confirmed by the guy who took this picture!
But I can see few more corollas on the corolla launch thread which has the same issue and the trunk is closed! Even members who visited the dealership said that, my cousin who went there yesterday also saw one corolla with the same alignment issue!

see pics on pg.59 shared by emokid, it has the same issue and the trunk seemed to be closed properly!

Previous Corollas have had the same issue as well. And I believe a Civic also had a problem, not sure. Hopefully IMC will fix these issues for customer cars...
