    Unhappy Latest Corolla or Civic?

I have been thinking about buying new car from weeks. I have only 2.3M rs so I will be able to afford i-VTEC variant of Civic and Altis Grande variant of Corolla. New technology and features do matter for me aside from looks so do let me know about differences between features. Tbh, I'm really confused. What do you think?

P.s When was the 9th generation Civic released? Just making sure that the new model of Civic isn't near.

It is like this..... A friend once said, "Aggar Corolla lein to doosron kay leya or aggar Civic lein to apnay leya". What he was saying that the Corolla is a hot favourite with thieves. The Corolla not having an immobilizer doesn't help maters much.

When I was out looking to buy my car a few years ago, two things put me off the Corolla. (1) Very poor build quality and (2) No air bags.

Poor build quality is evident in the fit of the carpet in the boot, the flap over the spare wheel. The roof has already been mentioned, the feel of the switch gear as you press the electric widow buttons, the feel of the dip/full stalk as you move it back and forth or twist it to turn on the lights etc. Then we come to the materials of construction in the cabin, the feel of the materials to the touch in the Civic is about 15-20% better. All in all IMHO the Corolla is about 20% less in quality than the Civic.

If you move to the goodies, the Civic has more tricks up its sleeve than the Corolla. Yes, the screen of the navigation is bigger in the Corolla and the ride is much more soft as compared to the Civic and it is a few lacs cheaper.

What pushed me to buy the Civic? The Civic has a higher chance to be in my drive way over the next 5 years compared to the Corolla and me and my loved ones had a higher chance of surviving a crash in the Civic.

sorry to say bro but you're overdoing corolla.
no matter what you say corolla looks thousand times better than a civic. thjs civic was launched in other countries and no one bought it and honda introduced it's face lift in a month and we people here won't get that.
seconds corolla has softer suspension and it floats on the roads. 3rd cvti gears flappy pedals (now don't be like "they won't be used or bla bla" that is a huge plus point) as per immobiliser toyota motors in I9 told me the'd arrange that for me. ill post the details about that too. so the only thing left is airbag that is the only draw back.
and as per quality civic has tak tak wali rabar in its whole interior and corolla grande has all padded interior from top to bottom.

Don't get me wrong, Corolla is a nice enough car but I'd like wake up every morning and see my 25 lac investment in my drive way. The prettiest car or the softest sprung car or the fastest car is no good to me if the next morning a bunch of smarty pants thieves have removed it from my drive way . If the dealer will be installing an immobilizer for you it will most probably be an add on device. Add ons can be bypassed by our clever thieves. So not sure about the degree of protection this dealer fitted immobilizer will offer.

The quality is not that bad as u r describing. THERE were no quality issues in the car I checked. It had a equally good quality as my civic 8th gen which has a better quality than 9th gen civic.
Corolla also has trunk carpet lining which is naked in civic at the top.

Saw a new corolla altis today at f-10 caltex petrol pump with misaligned trunk. Front looks good but rear and it's height is so disappointing.
