Default 11 KM/L with AC from Nissan Pino MANUAL gears. HELP PLEASE!

I bought this car solely for the purpose of getting a good consumption. I was expecting at least 17 KM/L with AC after asking people and reading here on PW. But to my surprise, I got 11 KM/L with AC. I don't think anyone is getting that poor fuel average from a 660CC even if it is auto transmission.

Filled Rs. 1000 petrol as soon as reserve light came on. Drove with continuous AC in city on light foot. Checked ODO meter when the reserve light came on again. Total driven 103 KMs.

    Nissan Pino 2008. MANUAL TRANSMISSION.

    Rs. 1000 = 9.25 litres
    Average speed = 60 KM/H
    KMs driven = 103
    Fuel average = 103/9.25 = 11.13 KM/L

My friend has a Pino AUTOMATIC transmission and he gets around 15 KM/L with AC and 18 KM/L without AC.

I haven't tested without AC yet.

What is wrong with this car? Please tell me what to do to get a good fuel average.

Would you recommend computerized tuning or mechanic k hath ki desi tuning? Some people do not favor computerized tuning.

Fuel gauge isn't good enough to be taken as reference... Fill the tank to the brim, drive for a couple of hundred kilometers... Fill again and check how much fuel is used...

If u r treating it like Chevy then she won't give u good mileage I also had one in the past and bought the same ride in manual transmission after selling my Chevy. The mileage u r getting is bad. That is the mileage of an auto 660. There is no tuning in an efi car. Everything is controlled automatically via ECU. Get the spark plugs checked as well as the oil and air filter. Air filter plays a vital role in these jdms and I doubt ur air filter is choked. Get these checked and be a little merciful on the pedal and In sha Allah mileage will increase but don't expect anything above 15 in practical driving with ac

Not sure what you mean by treating it like Chevy. Used to drive that with light foot and driving this with light foot too to try to get the maximum fuel average. But it's giving even worse average than Chevy I don't think even an auto gives this mileage. A friend of mine who has an auto Pino claims to be getting 14-15 with AC and 17-18 without AC. Since mine is a manual one, I should even get higher than this. That's the reason why I went for a 660cc manual instead of a Swift
