Default 12 Lakh Main Kaun C Gari ?

I want to change my car Mira ES 2011 and Jeep Jimeny Siera 1998

All I need is trunk and good fuel average. I travel around 100Km daily and I can afford 200L fuel in a month.

Mostly city drive and sometimes long drive.

I must advise you to go for a 08-10 2.0D saloon.
Reason:the best millage,No queue issue, you would love the drive.
best road grip in this variant.
even my indus corolla 2.0D gives 17kmpl.
extend your budget to 1.3 and you can even get one with a sunroof.

2009 City would always be better when compared to 2007 Steermatic or 2008 IDSI.
Here I am going to write Pro's and Con's of each model so that It would become easy for you to decide.

Pro's of City 2009 when compared to Steermatic or IDSI:
    1) Newer shape.
    2) Newer engine.
    3) Newer Interior
    4) Harder suspension for better drive.
    5) Better economy than Steermatic and comparable to IDSI

Con's of City 2009 when compared to Steermatic or IDSI:
    1) Harder suspension which is uncomfortable at times. Your family won't like It.
    2) No new features when compared to Steermatic.
    3) Sluggish drive and bad economy in AT variant.
    4) In your budget you'll only get a black Interior City IVTEC, which may feel disturbing at times, especially to your family!
    5) The AT variant has a bad transmission.
    6) Though I musn't say It good but It has an average resale value when compared to IDSI.

Pro's of City Steermatic when compared to City 2009 or IDSI:
    1) City Steermatic has the best transimission b/w all the models of City.
    2) It has a great engine.
    3) Though I have never owned one, but I think It has comfortable suspension too.
    4) Great Drive, much better than IDSI or City 2009.
    5) I must not say excellent but a satisfactory economy.
    6) Better Interior when compared to City 2009 (only talking about the one's which came with Black Interior)

Con's of City Steermatic when compared to City 2009 or IDSI:
    1) Economy is not as good as City 2009 or IDSI.
    2) Old shape when compared to IVTEC City.
    3) Though a better Interior but old one.
    4) It would be old when compared with 2009 City.

    5) Though I musn't say It but If you're looking to sell It In the near future. This car would give you a hard time. It has a bad resale.

Pro's of City IDSI when compared to City 2009 or Steermatic:
    1) Best economy when compared with City 2009 or Steermatic. It was claimed to give a staggering 27 KM/L.
    2) It has a Titan Interior when compared to only City 2009 (Talking about the one's which came with black Interiors)
    3) If you are cocerned about resale, IDSI has a good resale.

Con's of City IDSI when compared to City 2009 or Steermatic:
    1) It has the worst drive when compared to City 2009 or Steermatic.
    2) It has a sluggish transmission.
    3) An older shape when compared to only City 2009.
    4) An older Interior.
    5) An older engine.
    6) Bad pick.
    7) The slowest car b/w all of them. You can't race on It If anyone challenges you.

    That's all!
Baki It's your hard-earned money and you have the choice to decide.

Ok shape wise I do like the new city however interior quality and feel is really shocking. Can the new city meet 3000KM in 200L requirement. I was touched by some new city owner asking 12.65 for 2009 ISB?

Steermatic has great interior specially at night, speedo is awesome. Fuel wise not appropriate as my target was to run 3000 Km in 200L.

Sure Huzaifa I have read your post. I have visited cars also. Steermatic owners are very satisfied and are not in a rush to sell. IDSi guys were happy to sell it for model upgrade to newer city.

Newer city guys were waiting for a newer city which is in pipeline for launch?

New city dashboard looks like hard plastic. Pick was fine. Seems a lighter body car.

Steermatic had feel of a more heavy kind of car, gear shifts were very smooth and 1500 show an attitude too.

Steermatic is upto 2007. 2009 city comes up as a choice meeting both trunk and fuel economy along with IDSi. However if one can find a 2009 city around 12 lakh it's worth buying.

The current model City is a much lighter car when compared to It's last generation!
It has a hard plastiky dashboard, and yes the drive is hard!
Honda's are losing weight while on the hand Toyota's are gaining

I would have suggested you 2009 IVTEC City, but you'll never get one In your budget.
The one's which you would find would be In a very very bad nick!
    So I don't suggest City 2009.

    Now let's come to IDSI,

IDSI was a car purely made for economy.
As I said before you'll never enjoy driving It, though you'll get some decent mileage and some savings, Lolz!
It's the slowest 1.3L car ever Introduced by Honda.

    Now let's come to Steermatic,

Steermatic was a car made for car addicts,
It had some great features which Honda hasn't offered In Civic ever.
You'll find a Steermatic easily in your budget, even In less!
It had a 7 speed Manual mode,
    It had a CVT-i transmission,
    It had a 1.5L engine!
It had a satisfactory economy too!

I'll again suggest you to go for Steermatic. Since It's the best Compact sedan which you can get In your budget!

Agreed chief. If I can somehow arrange additional 100,000K, will you still recommend streetmatic?

If you can arrange 100K then you can try finding one.
You and I know that Islamabad's market is very expensive as compared to Lahore's or Karachi's market!
Car's are atleast 100K-150K expensive In Pakistan!

But again a question arises In my mind,
Why get a beaten up 2009 City when you can get a Pristine Steermatic?
