im a Govt servant and doing job at Pakistan Railways....Im interested in buying some big but cheap car...Searched alott but all even an old out dated corollas vitz and Hondas are out of my budget....Then i came across Liana...Becoz of its No Market and Negative Reviews, this Car in good conditions is available between 600,000 - 700,000 So i get interested in buying liana...After searched a lott on japanese cars i have decided to buy liana...its a respectable luxury sober car with heavy look....Now i have seen liana again on roads becoz people now realize its worth if maintained better then its a trouble free car i guess, my friends have adviced to stay away from vitz waghaira .....Plz share

    1.About its maintenance etc....
2.How much tax i will have to pay for it and when to pay...
3.From where i can get its spares....
4.Is it good for day to day office routine....
    5. from where and after how much time i will have to visit Mechanic.

    1.About its maintenance etc....
If you get a well maintained piece, then your life will be heaven otherwise vice versa, you can opt for 3S dealerships plus any good experienced mechanic of EFI vehicle but keep in mind that Liana is not a car upon which you can perform experiments, you have to stick with one man.
2.How much tax i will have to pay for it and when to pay...
As it is under the slab of 1300cc then you have to pay Approx Rs.4500-5000 in one year with the expiry of the token on 30-06-YYYY
3.From where i can get its spares....
From any 3S dealers and well reputed suzuki spare parts dealers.
4.Is it good for day to day office routine....
If it is well maintained then it is good for anything i.e. long routes etc.
    5. from where and after how much time i will have to visit Mechanic.
If you find any decent car then one thing is for sure that once you have to invest Rs.30K to Rs.35K for the detailed checkups and to bring the car upon your desired standards.

Only go for a well maintained Liana. A ruined liana is a big big headache.

dont overlook the faults that r the main cause of liana's failure,, make sure u r getting a well maintained liana,, then u should have no problem with it just regular oil change or service, u will love its drive and suspension is better than corolla and city of same modle
if fuel economy is not an issue than u can opt axi 1.6(jdm version)

Do not go for Liana, it is a headache on wheels, the car has serious manufacturing faults and is not reliable at all, u can never be sure that what issue will arise in the next street, this car cannot be trusted especially if it is on CNG, and once it start giving problems, u r screwed. We have a Liana 2006 LXI which is now 150k+ driven, has the whole dashboard cracked, the car engine has been overhauled 4 times, the gear doesn't work properly, all axles are leaking, once the whole tyre came out from the car at the speed of 80+ , it misfires allot, the Ac doesn't work properly, it gets heated up, and the the list carries on.
We have a liana with our neighbours too, and i always see a mechanic coming to start that poor thingy, also seen a guy so fedup of liana that he parked it and left it for years, now cats and dogs drive that thingy
Liana, No,No,No why dont u opt for Lancer instead, its a good car and better than liana

I know that the dashboard cracking exists in prado and even surf, the car is properly maintained and oil changed after every 3k kms , the car is good just to get some grocery for the store, but if ur drive is about 60kms daily from defence to sohrab goth and then to saddar and u wanna drive it all day long in every kind of place, this car is not for u

I would agree with your comments; Suzuki products are tough, durable and dependable. As with any machinery they need to be maintained. We have an Alto 2007 VXR CNG maintained by 3S dealership its the best small car we ever had.

The only effort you have to do is to open the bonnet once a month to counter check the fluids.

To the poster, one of my close friend bought it, and I could feel his paint that his Liana gave him, his car stood more at workshop than at his place, I hope you get my point. And you can easily find an older shape of Vitz in your range, it'll serve you well.
