My advice is not to buy Suzuki Alto at any cost not even if someone is giving it to you free of cost.

Seriously. Bear with the Cultus's shape if you wanna have the value for your money, and it's a tension free car provided you get a clean one.

Liana is a good car, even on cng, the main problem was that when suzuki started selling factory fitted cng liana, it was sold with sequential cng kit, way advanced tech for our market at that time. people had the thinking that it is a "suzuki" so got it maintained from cultus, alto carby car mechanics and ran into problems. it is a fine car if u can find one in good nick. just don't cheap out at the time of buying.

    1.About its maintenance etc....
umm when u buy ur car, get a complete checkup from suzuki 3s, change all fluids and filters, change the parts that they'd recommend. after spending that first 30-40 thousand for peace of mind, you can opt for regular maintainance(just oil and filter change) by local mechanics, remember, never get it tuned, plug changed, throttle body cleaning or any engine related job from local mechanic, best to opt for 3s or go to a mechanic that know how to work on liana(i know one in sialkot, none in lahore). also never wash its engine bay, just damp cloth.

2.How much tax i will have to pay for it and when to pay...
liana is 1328cc(more than 1299) so it falls under 1300-1500 cc bracket, 5500-6000 yearly i think

3.From where i can get its spares....
engine related from 3s only(you can opt for guard filters, same number genuine sparkplugs though). body, mechanical(cv joints etc) related, anywhere u like, plenty of shops keep em, but buy quality stuff.

4.Is it good for day to day office routine....
yup, a close friend is using it on both petrol and cng, and it runs great, he has both xli and liana, and says that liana is a better ride in features and almost equal as a workhorse.

    5. from where and after how much time i will have to visit Mechanic.
depends upon the engine oil u use(regular maintainance) 5000 km for synthetic oil. for issues maybe once or twice a year.(visit suzuki 3s plz)

Should i go for Alto VXR
Cultus is better, Alto petrol consumption is bad.

Why not try Coure n Santro
or City 2000-2003, All have Good fuel consumption.

    For the OP,
Liana is a big nightmare, its my personal experience. Had liana 2006, only kept it for 2 months, had to spent almost 50,000 on it & sold it for the loss of 1.5 lacs. The power steering motor used to fail after every 2-3 days, head gasket got blown even with full radiator. Car had numerous electrical issues as well, my new pioneer HU burnt without any reason.
Body kits available for all cars...

i don,t have experience abt liana but i now that it is better you buy civic 98 exi in manual transmission it will also cost aprox under 06-07 lacs. because suzuki is not a quality stuff inspide of honda. Honda is always better then toyota, suzuki, daihatsu, and all running names in karachi . its my personal experience.

DON'T ever buy a Liana....Liana or NaLiNa These are the comments you will get over here...mostly from the people of have never kept a Liana or from someone who have bought a Liana that is badly used or misused (kion kay sistai mel rahi thee) Bhai, Liana's technology was way too advance for our road side 'ustad jees'...bass simple Liana ko flop karar dai doo ....

Anyways personally I am a very happy Liana RXi FF CNG user...The car is with with me for the past three years and I love it....
