Default Best car in 18 lac budget

I'm planning on selling my Honda City 2011 (12k driven) and getting some better. Budget is 3 lac + whatever I will sell City for (around 14.7-14.8 lac).

I've seen plenty of options in this budget. Corolla 2012 1.6GLi Automatic, 2011 Altis 1.6, Axio 2007 1.5G, Honda Fit Hybrid etc etc.

Note that I need a car that is good for long drives. Fuel economy doesn't matter since this is a 3rd use car. Must be driven maximum 50,000-55,000 km. Must be a car with a decent sized boot.

    Location: Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

As you said fuel is not a big concern so I personally think 8th gen civic will be a good option in your budget.

Buy a Honda Accord CL9, BMW 3 Series etc. You can get a Toyota Mark 2 in this price. All of them are excellent cars compared to GLis, XLis, Axios etc. Drive them and think for yourself.

Seriously doubt I'm going to find any of those cars driven less than 100,000km, let alone 50k.

Isn't Axio basically the same car as the local Corolla except that it's more durable? I thought suspension, engine etc are identical.

I do too but a quick search on PakWheels has not made me confident. Hardly any Civics available with ~50k mileage that are for 18 lac or less. One of the rare occasions where I wished I was in Lahore because there seem to be twice as many cars available there than in Rwp/Isl.

You can find most of them under 70,000 KMs and they are good. Accords, Mark 2s can be found under 70,000 KMs but the same can't be said for a BMW or Mercedes-Benz.

You should look for JDMs in any case. Get an RX-8. Its easily available under 50,000 KMs. Get a Premio, the old shape or a RX-7. Axios are a good choice too but do look at a RX-8.

LOL what's the comparison with an RX8? Remember I said a car for long drives with a decent sized boot. A family car in other words.

This is better than a 2011-2012 Altis?

Used Toyota Premio 1.8F PRIME SELECTION 2006 Car for sale in Islamabad - 961192 | PakWheels

Good build quality and safety are just two of the many features most JDM cars have. So, yes a Premio is way better than any Corolla. But go for an Axio if you think that an old shape Premio is not up to the mark.

Because they're not in my budget. Don't forget the additional 200k or something you'll pay for registration.

Otherwise used altis is best one in this budget

Avoid corollas otherwise you will have no car after some time. Means it will have a high theft chance

1.6 Altis 2012 is the best choice imo.
