    Dont sell your corolla.
Firstly hard to find clean 2000 civic
    Its a pain suspension wise
    Etc

And its not an upgrade. People are selling manual to get auto and you are going opposite. ...

Even selling your corolla for 2002-2007 model corolla is not advisable as this Japanese corollas drive is much better

You know what is in Civic EK's suspension? Double Wishbone, one of the best suspension system.

Corolla's Suspension lasts Longer than Civic's. I had Corolla and a cousin, Civic. And if you check rates of getting them overhauled, Corolla cost Rs. 3500 and Civic, Rs. 35000. I haven't merely added a zero metaphorically; when i had Corolla, a khala and a mamoo both had a Civic each. And, my issue came only because of Accident; theirs came due to wearing out. In Other words, Civic is more Expensive in terms of parts.

If I had had corolla for sometime now, I will definitely change her.
For Islamabad roads, civic is equally good. Civic's looks are better than that corolla.
Idher hr koi apna vote de ga.
What do you want? Think and decide.
The only edge your car has over civic is, durable suspension. That is it. But looks are old now. Totally outta fashion

Problem is 2000 civic is the suspension as soon as you hit a pot hole your busher are torn.. and if I recall correctly there are 21 or more bushes and each cost 500 to 1500... cost is not a problem but having to deal with them every few weeks is...

Secondly those who have kept corollas have habit not to slow down for potholes, cracks, bumps...
Secondly finding a good civic of this shape is very hard... dont for get heating and head problems if the vehicle is not maintained properly by previous owner..

    Dont do it bhai!

Have driven both and owned a jdm corolla 1999 and found corolla to be more soft, smooth and corolla is rough and tough + now a days 8/10 2000 civics are beaten up...

Japanesse Indus corolla HAS NO MATCH WITH 2000 CIVIC even with a few later models. Japanesse corolla is one robust rough and tough sir, as @qwertypoiu said I totally agree with him.

I see many jdm corollas 98-99 on roads these days with 2014 reg plates and thats only because the car is worth it. Its a proper sedan with very tough built and easy to maintain.

If you sell it and go for that civic, later you'll regret it.

    Dear poster

I own a 99 civic exi. I bought it back in 2007 once it was only 27k driven. Now it has clocked 96k. Believe in me, its front suspension has never been opened. But I have changed rear suspension bushes once. So, here fellow pw members stating this civic's model suspension cumbersome may b resultant of after market or lower quality parts which give up easily.

Now coming to your question regarding selling ur corolla. I have driven both of them. My opinion is nt to sell ur corolla. Y? Because until n unless u find a civic with proper service history, dnt go for a civic as most of the civics are abused. Body wise they seem to be ok but mechanical side turns out to be a pain, especially their transmission side due to weak clutch plate/pressure plate. Those who have well kept civics, they are nt even willing to sell them for 800, 900k. So my advise is nt to go for civic and ur jdm corolla is one of the best models.

Civics old models well i will say honda new ones are best and corolla as they get old they are very easy to maintain. I got 98 local indus but it's very reliable. Install the correct part and it will last forever.

+1 Every Toyota fan would defend corolla and every Honda fan would defend civic .if i were u i would have gone for a civic with eyes closed the way the car looks and drives ,the feel u get when u sit inside one is just great and u have already had the corolla which is also a very good car but does not looks as good as a civic does and u will get a sunroof also if u buy a oriel .go for it and Dont worry it is a win win situation for u
