lol go buy rolla if you want to slide the windows down manually in a car of 10 lacs above ,suggest buying a mehran then if you want a corrola ,Seriously ,Mehran>Rolla cause better overall angles .No offense .Compare Gli to City 1.3

Default Evolved Honda City is a Better Buy then XLI/GLI

City is a better car then XLI/GLI because of the following 15 points which i have compiled from different pak wheels member posts:-

    (1) Honda I-vtec engine is highly efficient and gives a fuel average of 17/18 Kmpl whereas the all new generation corolla has got bulkier and the weight has increased, and IMC has still not changed the engine.....world over the 11th generation corolla doesnt have this engine.....previously the indus corolla was giving 13/14 kmpl and now u can well imagine the fuel economy with the weight increase.

    (2) Honda Basic 1.3 L is exactly 124,000 cheaper then the Basic XLI.

    (3) Honda has ABS and XLI doesn't have ABS.

    (4) Honda has power windows and XLI doesn't have power windows.

    (5) Honda has key less entry and XLI/GLI doesn't have that.

    (6) City Aspire 1.3 has Navigation unit whereas XLI/GLI don't

    (7) City Aspire 1.3 has rear camera whereas XLI/GLI don't

    (8) City Aspire 1.3 has Alloy rims, where as XLI/GLI don't

    (9) City has power locks whereas XLI doesn't

    (10) City Aspire 1.3 has leather interior whereas XLI/GLI don't

    (11) City Aspire 1.3 has fog lamps whereas XLI/GLI don't

    (12) City has rear armrest with cup-holder whereas XLI doesn't

    (13) City Aspire 1.3 has 4 speakers whereas XLI doesn't

    (14) City has ECO light indication wheras XLI doesn't

    (15) Additionally the 1.3L honda basic car which is PKR 124,000 cheaper then TEEN DABBA...COFFIN ON WHEELS XLI...has just now been given a new look(Evolved HONDA City) on 16 October,2014 by Atlas Honda with the new front and rear bumpers, chromed front grill, blue odo meter, new audio system, side indicators, mud flaps, high mount stop lamp, arm rest with cup holders, keyless entry, rear reflectors and that too without increase of a single rupee price!

Both these cars have one thing in common: a useless 5th gear.

You missed the suspension part. With all those goodies in a city if you can feel each n every crack, bump and contour on road rattling ur brain in ur skull then what the use of such goodies?

Bro, firstly the 'spine cracking' hardness comes from the local tyres and not from the suspension. Overall, the suspension is hard but not that much. But this 'hard suspension' gives you better cornering and excellent braking. The famous fishtailing issue corrolas face when braking is due to the softer suspension. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong.

Bro I'm currently using City iVTec and I was able to maintain an average of around 14.5 km/hr for the first year (inside the city), with EXTREMELY polite driving. I literally drove with my mission to keep the 0-40 bar at the ideal 20. and on highways it gives an average of around 17 if you go at 90-100 km/hr. Im not saying these are not good averages. These are amazing. But I think Corolla now gives similar averages too (I dont know about the latest model). No local manufacturer beats Honda in interior, no arguments there. But I believe the better suspension of corolla makes a huge difference on the comfort of your ride.

P.S I am considering a switch from City to GLi so I am trying to convince myself too :p

Their 5th gear gear is hopelessly short for highway travelling; they both do 4000 rpm at 120 km/h. In my opinion, its the biggest shortcoming of the City.

you shouldnt consider it a shortcoming if the car gives you good average. another plus around those rpms is youre at or near the peak of the torque curve so while overtaking, you wont experience any lag. Push the throttle and away you go.

The average would certainly have been better if it was around 3000 rpm or less. Noise levels of the engine would also have been helped. Most importantly, there would be less wear and tear on the engine in the long run.
As for overtaking other cars, it is a much more satisfying feeling to rev match and downshift, wouldn't you say? If someone doesn't want to shift gears, why not buy an auto instead?

if you can live without ABS and power windows i would say no harm in trying XLi. If you want my personal opinion City, XLi without power windows is a joke.
