Default Budget of 15 lacs and so many concerns

    Dear PW Members,
I have decided to sold me beloved swift 2012 DX.I bought this car brand new and drove almost 50,000 km without any issues.Only reason I am selling is to buy big car to meet family requirements.

I have shortlisted few options and now i need your sincere advice to finalized the purchase.

    1-Civic 2010 -2012 iVtec prosmetic Manual
    2-City 2013 - 2014
    3-Axio/Fielder 2007
    4-Liana brand new

My biggest concern is security , solid drive and quality so put civic on top of list which i believe has immobiliser
secondly if i go for city and add tracker later on would it be sufficient to avoid theft.

kindly recommend which options is best for me as i also wanted trouble free car for next 3-4 years.

    Thanks

Apart from that Liana is an excellent car with impressive build quality. One should just know how to maintain it.
ABS is also not present in xli but ppl are stilling buying it and liana have better brake than city and xli/gli test by my self liana rxi and LXI have same braking power but rxi lack in ABS department

a simple way to explain why liana
city: car rattle on paki road + no confort
reborn : bad economy expensive part much more expensive than liana
axio/felider:the car would have abused in japan and pakistan as well expensive part again on;y side mirror cost 23-30k
liana:good economy with irridum plug it will give you better fuel avg than city+ good suspension comfortable drive and grip or road as well,if you a ff cng one best cng avg better than xli in every aspect

If you don't care about fuel than definitely civic but if do care than have a look at honda insight sedan with alot of goodies to play with .
Bro don't go for city as it was with same crappy suspension nd new shape is also in pipe lines as well

But keep in mind you will loose too much when you sell Liana. I own a Liana Rxi 2007. It is good especially I don't find anything better in City when compare with Liana except resale value.

Just visited Suzuki Abpara Islamabad and they said new Liana would cost around 14.8 lacs including registration but bad sign is missing ABS in RXI version.finally I have decided to search for civic 2008-2012 within 15.5 lacs budget because without immobilisers it's risky to keep any car in this country.I know new city lies in my range but i dont go for insurance and tracker is also vulnerable so anything with boot and immobilisers suits my requirement.

scroll up and read I have rated corolla at 1 with a reason that its solid and comfortable then comes whole bunch of other cars. I am not miss guiding him you need a pair of jackson glasses to read properly. For your kind info corolla doesn't loose grip easily until and unless you do keera with it like over Speeding and stuff.

People just buy Xli because of the brand 'Corolla' when in reality even they know they are being ripped apart. Mostly it's the 'Rent a car' guys. Any sensible person would go for atleast a Gli when buying a Corolla. I tend to disagree with you though on Rxi/Lxi. Rxi has good brakes but the ABS gives the LXI much more superior brakes, especially in wet/slippery road conditions. And are you sure ABS can be installed aftermarket? As far as I know, It cannot be.

Keeping it simple for the poster. If you want value for money, better build quality, independent suspension but are ready to comprise on resale and ABS then go for Liana. However if you can handle the stiff non-independent suspension of city, and want some extra features like ABS with resale, go for City. Civic would be extremely expensive to maintain. If possible, take a test drive of both cars, you'll be able to make a decision.

Its not about the compatibility, its about trying to retofit Abs, which I am sure would require a change in the whole braking system. I don't think outside mechanics posses this kind of expetise yet. Highly not recommended, if ever possible. Best option would be to go for a brand new or even a second hand car with factory fitted ABS.
