    Question Swift or FAW V2?

    Need to make a decision.

I want a car that's economical and fast (when I want it to be). City is not in my range (nor do I wanna buy a car which is getting a new facelift next year).

I know about the resale problem, I don't really care much about that. I plan to keep this car for at least 5 years.

Budget is about 11,00,000. Suggestions please.

Also, I'd like to know if anyone here knows technical stuff about the V2 so I can get some tips and tricks if I do end up getting that car (there are a lot of Swift experts here so I was wondering).

My vote is for V2 if resale isn't an issue with you.

    I'm a proud owner of v2|
You want to race with it,you can.
You want to be comfortable, you can easily ease yourself.
You want fuel average, its giving me 18 on highway and 15.5 in local before first oil change.
    Its beautiful.
And its 4 lacs less than swift.
So I'll ask you to go for it.Name: ImageUploadedByPW Forums1418915777.864945.jpg

Thanks a lot for the input guys. I'll most probably get this car in white. I just hope that the manufacturer stays in Pakistan and doesn't leave like Chevrolet and Kia etc.

Any tips on spark plugs and oil to use? :p I am fascinated by how much people here know about their cars. My previous car was a Corolla 99 (with a rather weak engine) and I didn't know jack **** about it.

    Some tips would be appreciated.

As it seems, congrats on getting the V2 then.
Bang for the buck. Was pretty obvious result being on that side, wasn't it?
Minor things about the vehicle that you will get used to anyways as time pass by. Still I would say, built quality, features, safety, being imported, price. All factors do add up the one option only.
As u already passed on the "resale" well within 5 years I'm sure it will catch up the way it's getting a Popular hot cake.

@ASKnASK The manufacturer is definitely staying.FAW Econoboxes are replacing bolan, there heavy trucks are replacing nissan's and this car V2 in this price range is a must grab. For you budget V2 is the only option. It offers more for less.If resale is your prime concern then stretch your budget and buy swift base model.remember registration is 100,000 for swift(non filer).V2 is cheaper as its being brought as CBU atm.Local production starts in may 2015.
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Yeah I most probably won't be changing the car (I'm 26. First car I'm paying 50% by myself :p).

Good to hear. How much does the entire procedure cost? (getting the car, registration etc). I'm from Wah Cantt.

I'll put aside 20-30k for some nice speakers (already have an AMP and a sub) and maybe some other bling

I'll suggest you to wait till May 2015 and get a new Swift.

5year to keep the car with performance I doubt the Chinese craft for this.

Else I see you all prepared for V2 --- All the Best.

Well unlike most i won't be suggesting FAW as i almost have a personal experience with FAW X-PV.
On paper V2 looks strong but you need to consult someone on practicality of keeping both cars. If you talk about on paper thing Liana would edge out each and every 1.3L car of Pakistan specially Xli(in terms of engine performance, Cabin facilities) but does that mean you would prefer Liana over XLi, i wouldn't. Xli has easily availabe spares, mostly cheaper too, strong build and is easy to maintain car.
Same goes for Swift and V2, Swift is a road proven car, V2 is mostly on paper in Pakistan. Faw spares are almost impossible to find. X-PV i talked about met an severe accident, though insured but parts are nowhere to be found.Even Authorized dealers dont have all parts. Same would be for V2. A car that is hard to maintain in definately NOT recommended no matter how good it is on paper and specially if you don't have money to experiment, then stay away from experiments. My colleague's X-PV experiment has costed him something that was even beyond his imaginations....
