Is it the 3 cylinder VXR? This car, like Khyber, Mehran, and Alto, has a surprising amount of low end torque. It makes excellent torque from 2300 rpm onwards (telling from years of experience).

As a general rule, these are the shift speeds: 1st - 2nd between 15-20 km/h, 2nd to 3rd 30-40 km/h, 4th 50-60 km/h, and 5th at any speed above 65 km/h. Cruise in the highest gear possible to go as slow as traffic, or else people will get in your way

If you want to overtake, your RPM should be at least 3k. If not, downshift. It will shoot like a rocket.

It has an automatic choke; engine RPM will be high during cold starting. This is normal; it will automatically settle down once the engine is warmed up a bit.

The brakes are OK at best. Never tailgate anyone. If you need to stop, plan ahead and brake earlier to avoid any mishaps. If in doubt, just assume that the car doesn't have brakes and drive accordingly.

I learned to drive on this car, I know all its strengths and flaws . Don't have experience with the EFi model, though.

If you are experienced with Khyber, than no worries, its almost the same as Khyber with lil better performance and control.

But the breaking for cultus is hardly average after the speed of 70km + not that quick/responsive as it should be in case of any quick stop. take care of it at speed breakers and bumps it easily get hit its floor when all seats occupied.

Rest -- God Bless for your tour tomorrow.

I personally find Cultus easier than Mehran to drive, you get accurate assessment of the dimensions of the vehicle in a very short drive, tell me what else do you want to know other than that explained above?

Cultus headlights are not that good, so you'll need to be extra careful.
Besides, the brakes are weak as well, not too much but they're not too good either, so maintain safe distance from the vehicle ahead and keep car in low gears where fog is too much.
You'll need to have the defogger constantly ON so that on the inside the windscreen stays clear.
    Hope this helps.

drive slowly let the tires warm up, avoid braking while cornering at high speeds.

check Viper blades they should be in perfect condition.
check windshield washer fluid level. and that it actually works ( common problem in cultus)
double check if the defogger is working and the lever to switch between fresh air circulation is working as well. ( again the most common problem in cultus)
you will be frequently needing the above mentioned items in dense foggy conditions.

Cultus does not have anything which mehran does not have in terms of driving controls, except power-assisted brakes. This means a little less effort would be required to operate the brakes. The VXL model has power steering as well. None of these cars have anything too complicated or particularly difficult to fathom either in the various driving aids or the driving dynamics.
