Default 7 seater Family SUV in 4.5 Million?

This is going to be our first ever SUV. We have no prior experience of keeping SUV. It will be used 3-4 times in a month for some short trips up to 200 KM on metal roads and a yearly trip to northern areas. Price range is upto 4.5 Million. Here are the priorities

    1. Doesn?t feel sluggish if loaded with 7 healthy persons.
    2. Comfort
    3. Maintenance
    4. Resale

Get a used BMW X5, it has luxury as well as lots of space. Get the 7 seater version.
The hardest part about moving forward is not looking back.

I guess that in my range Prado 2006-7 model can be bought. Which specific one is easy to maintain? Like Diesel or Petrol or which Engine Version.
Regarding LC, I guess it is going to be LC100 up to 2002. In LC case, same question about versions? Also sent you a PM

LC100 2002-03 and if u r lucky enough u can get hold of cygnus,

    Prado 2003-2006. 3.4 TZ

Mit Pajero V6 2008 [new shape]

Toyota Fortuner [pakistani assembled] though u need to confirm if its 7 seats [advantage it would be almost new]

LR Defender 2.5 [Pakistani assembled]. . awesome for offroad, though totally manual,

BMW x5.. though it ll have high on maintenance
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. In LC case, isn't diesel one preferred? What is the difference between VX Limited and Amazon. Also thoughts on this one

Regarding Prado, why not 3.0L TX Limited Diesel

Pajero just doesn't look good to me

AFAIK, Fortuner's road clearance and performance sucks with some load. Not to mention its resale.

Would love to own Defender but my Amma isn't gonna like it

BMW sounds good but I am located around Multan and maintaining it would be an issue

as others said get a prado or a 100 series land cruiser both offer good comfort resale and being a toyota much easier to mantain and find parts compared with other options such as the bmw or anything else for that matter if you want a diesel vehicle get a land cruiser amazon 7 seats luxurious too

if you want a newer vehicle then the fortuner might be good too

You are right. It is going to be a Prado or LC100. However, which variant petrol or diesel in both is good considering maintenance and to some extent fuel consumption?

Always yes to a diesel variant but there are two school of thoughts related to D4D engines. One says the engines fail due to high sulphur values in our diesel fuel. The other says the nozzles of this engine were poorly designed.
In either case, the cost of maintenance is high.
Do not buy a tx version. Sells slow in the end. Everyone wants a dual ac when buying a jeep

Fuel average of a petrol Prado is never gonna go above 9 even on long routes.

LC is good but spares are heavily priced.

That means if Prado, it has to be TZ. On a side note, does newer generation Prado TX from 2009 onwards is Dual AC or not?
In case of LC, there is no issue regarding Diesel? What is difference between VX Limited and Aamzon? Also any idea about fair price of this one

I don't want to confuse you but as far as resale matters, 9 out of 10 customers ask for TZ. I am not sure about dual ac in upper models in TX. Will have to check but I don't think it has dual ac.
Cruisers have different technology engines and don't have the injector issue.
I have not seen the ad but 99-2002 models fall in the same price range. Condition plays an important role and that is the only decisive factor.

    LC 99-02 2.2-2.9m

amazon is the UK variant.. good thing about it is, u would find everything in english..

TZ is full options dual AC
TX is without dual AC.. [its like TX is gli, and TZ is grande]

diesel need to be cared alot.. petrol is like almost maintenance free.. plus due to high content of sulfur, wont recommend diesel...

i don't think u should be worried about fuel econ, since it wont be ur everyday ride..
btw pajero has one of the most comfortable ride within city...
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

pajero 2003-05 from 18-26 depending on the seller n buyer.. petrol variant is the pref one, parts r usually not that of a issue nowadays, u can ship em from uae or china ... diesel on is heavy on maintenance

the latest shape starts from 3.3m and can go upto 7m. depending on the year and seller...
