The newer models are always better, same is the case in corolla but 7th gen is just affordable for daily running and newer generations are not that cheap to maintain, like the JDM corolla axio, one of it's kind in its class but hell expensive to maintain.
restricted at 100km/h with nissan rd 2.8l (stock engine) under the hood the car is capable for doing 100km/h in 2 gear while have 5 gear transmission

Bro I did keep in touch with the thread, somehow missed these earlier posts...I am almost 70% certain of buying a Liana at this point, had lancer in mind too but I have been told that Lancer and CNG do not make a good couple, so that's out of the window! How is Indus Corolla's performance on CNG?

I've not seen the previous posts on this thread but I believe the most economical, comfortable and reliable car in this budget would be Honda City 2006-07.

yeah Lancer is a great ride but it is hard to find a well maintained Lancer

I guess you're mistaken sir! Mazda 260c came with a L28 engine not RD, and it is not really known for high speeds.

Indus corolla works perfectly on CNG, as good as it works on Petrol.

Sir, kindly let me know the amount of running of the vehicle. Corolla works perfectly well with Cng. Actually every vehicle works fine with Cng, you just need the correct kit, advancer and mechanic.

City IDSI gives great mileage on petrol.Stay away from liana it has worst resale otherwise its a good car.
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Note: Our liana was swapped with a M18A and I mostly drove that car after the swap. So compared to the m13, the m18 is very fuel thirsty.

Anyways, this is how I would rank the cars above

Sunny > City > XLI > Optra >Liana (1.8 swapped) however, the 1.3 liana might come in the mid range on this list.

My suggestion is to try these cars, see what suits you. But personally, I would go for a sunny 1.3 EX-Saloon.

Sir on average 40km daily in Karachi and 2-3 trips Khi-Isbd in a year. Now how would you rate an Indus Corolla (1.3 XE/ XE-G)

Its good to hear that you're not worried about the resale, but I should warn you that in a few years, people would literally stop buying Liana, and the ones who own it would get stuck with it for like, forever. And if I were you, I won't make my kids travel in such a car just because of a single wrong decision. AE101 has been a hotcake for over two decades and it will stay the same for another 8-10 years at least, you won't find it hard to sell it and downgrade to a liana afterwards, besides, liana doesn't offer anything more than AE101, except a weird driving position and low all round visibility. I was never happy with night driving on a liana as the car literally is a blind fold when you drive at night, I even tried to put HIDs in it but I don't know what exactly the issue was with its headlights.

Bro in my budget I can either buy an 08/09 Liana or a 97/98 Indus Corolla...I am a novice when it comes to cars and have to rely on my mechanic most of the times...which means that maintaining an old car will be difficult for me....what do you say?
