Default Prius or Corolla? Confusion and doubts everywhere

Guys after spending lots of time on the internet and asking people, I have reached a decision, and that is between the 2011 Toyota Prius or the Toyota Corolla Grande 1.8 CVT-i.

The confusion is occurring because the features and mileage of the Prius attract me, while the looks and interior of the Corolla attract me. Please keep in mind of resale, maintenance and fuel economy.

though i have very little interest/knowledge in cars
but still sharing my personal experience

If you drive alot go for prius.
I take my 1.8 to my village back in Gujranwala every week and no issues so far.

mechanics are available I got my bumper repaired and new headlight from ferozpur rd(very expensive though more than 1 lac)
front window motor was also giving problem but ustaad fixed it within few minutes by opening door panel.

the only confusion is about fuel average in first month it gave me 25/25 per litter then fell to 17/18 for some days and now 20/21

    about comfort i would say
its much more comfortable and smooth in driving than our Vigo hilux and corolla.

and the most important we can make a round trip to our village 240kms just in 800rs every other day

again if you drive alot then go for Prius otherwise get a corolla because of better resale and spare parts etc

You serious about the cost of the parts? Damn that is so expensive. And yes the car will not be used much since it will only be used for going to my village in Charsadda every weekend, but in the coming days, its usage can increase drastically.

I'm here in Karachi these days and have a 2nd Gen Prius in use of my friend, the car has clocked well above 160k km and is still going strong Masha Allah, no problems at all, and the running cost of the car is peanuts or maybe even cheaper.

It was a bad accident one head light changed driver door and bumper badly damaged so the cost is abious ofcs its not a local made car.

running cost is the best factor of prius
same cost as a 125 bike.
the day we have brought Prius no body even wants to touch corolla or Vigo...

Are these features compatible. Plus you are talking about two different classes of vehicles
