Default Price difference: Karachi VS Islamabad

Being an avid PW member for the last 6-7 years, I have a hobby of visiting used cars section and comparing prices and what I found a bit peculiar was that there is a usually a noticeable difference in the prices of cars in both Karachi and Islamabad so much so that a 1.3-1.5l sedan marks around a 50-80k price difference sometimes even more. Now I know a bigger market has more options and more trade volume but isint this big a difference kind of unjustified ??? Just wondering, do share your ideas

Cars driven in Islamabad are in much better condition as compared to those in Karachi and that is due to many reasons.

Agree to that but then shouldn't the prices differ from car to car and not affect the entire market ??? I mean I know that comparatively better roads and a lower accident ratio of Islamabad are two of the prime reasons but there have to be looked after cars in KHI too so why is there this perception ???

price difference is most likely due to PROBLEMs involved in transfer of registration. Condition of car is 2ndry.

It is a Inter-provincial problem due to fact that system is not connected to a central hub. Vehicles registered within the same province have no such issued fact again the provincial motor vehicle database is shared.
