I am not a Car junkie but I know about batteries. If you are using conventional battery in your car and it is overcharged this battery have tolerance to overcharging on other hand dry battery, if overcharged couple of time , this will hurt battery performance badly.

Well if your car have overcharging stopping mechanism I don't think so dry battery would be a problem.

You can also place alarm switch under your bonnet.

Dont go for dry battery, these guys dont care if it is dry or what.

    1. Change parking spot.
    2. Get a frame installed by welder with lock and key. It is not a perfect solution, but it will make thieve to think before breaking as it will take some more time. ( I have done the same actually).
    3. Pay some guard in that parking area to take care of your car. (I do it now).
    4. Do some mods to prevent access to bonnet wire.

Also mention here which car you are talking about,

Hope that above points help u. I had same prob and followed step 2 and 3. Now no problem

Change the bonnet lock with more secure setup. To open n close bonnet use manual override rather normal wire. A keymaker might b helpful.
