Same story here brother, Convinced my father "boht mushkil se :p" for Civic VTi Oriel 2000 model. A good condition car is a rare find in this model as it's too old but there are few and the price tag is insane (700k to 750k)
I'm in search of a decent condition car since last month but not found it yet, what my observation is a repaint good condition car with all working accessories you can get till 600,000+ not a top notch genuine condition car.

EK and ES civic are still hot cake in isb/rwp. Have seen many 98-00 models sell for 8-9lakhs in isb other cities have prices comparatively lower then isb

I have the same gen civic its a 97 vti. The car is better than the cultus for sure. A joy to drive, no lack of power, body wise solid, an aerodynamic shape, comfortable. Maintenance is bit expensive but you will go to the mechanic quite often if you get a good one. Try to find a totally rust free one the engines will have ended their life mostly you will get overhauled or swapped ones. I have a 18 years old civic follow the thread it might give you an idea of the things you will have to look in to. It will be my pleasure to help you out with your queries.

The fuel average is bw 10-18 depending upon driving style.

I suggest against it if you're looking for 1999-2000 models.

    1. There are a few good ones left and people are clinging on to them asking insane prices - expect to pay 9-9.50 for a good unabused stock one.
    2. With the number of brick sized cat-eyes nowadays, it has become a high maintenance car where no matter how careful you are, you need to replace most or all of suspension bushings at least once a year if you want it to stay as pleasurable as it is supposed to be. And these bushings - well there are over a dozen of them with each wheel.
    3. 15 years - even at very modest running, the cars will be over 150k driven.
    4. You can get an ES in this price which has a simpler suspension setup and hasn't been drag raced by every pseudo Dom Toretto
A Post-Wh0re is a user who's only aim in life is to increase his post count. He/she gets off by receiving likes and mentions, and considers his post count a medal on his skinny chest. A post-Wh0re is the human equivalent of Chihuahua..bickering pointlessly, effortlessly, permanently.

The suspension is complicated and not every mechanic seems to understand but I have seen 5 years old cars with bushing problems. If one gets the things done right its a peace of mind and bang for the buck if one gets a clean well kept one. Engines are no issues swap or a good overhaul does the job. The suspension is the real thing that is special about this car the handling and control is the yummiest part.
