    A brotherly suggestion.
In 8.5 lakhs you can get a 2004-06 Mitsubishi Lancer in immaculate condition, as in "kancha piece".

Interesting idea I heard lancer gives less mileage, is that true? How is its drive and spare parts availability and also the resale factor?

If you want true driving pleasure in the 1 million category Lancer is your best bet.
We bought ours brand new in end 2006 and till now it is loyally serving us Alhamdulillah after completing almost 91,000 km.
The one we have is the 1.3 GLX M/T and since day 1 it is on petrol, didn't CNG-ify it and that's the reason the engine is in perfect health Masha Allah.
It gives around 10-12 km/l locally on heavy traffic conditions and on long 16-19 km/l depending on your speed.
The drive is far superior to the likes of it and spare parts are easily available as well as 3S service.
This is the car one simply cannot regret buying.

Trust me you won't sell this car provided that you buy a mint one. Many people are after me since years but I plainly refuse them, even Mitsubishi 3S guys asked if I want to sell my car they got the same reply

    Sure thing!
I don't think that anyone else would've owned a Lancer for as long as I have though

Civic for sure. Why would you, or anyone, would like to buy such a small and underpowered car as the Vitz?
