Default Family car in 1.6-1.7 million

I need member suggestions for the most suitable car for a family of five.
It can be imported or local, new or used (not too old if used)
The amount including registration should fall in the mentioned category.
SEDAN is preferred as it would be used as the only car for a family.
Would be better if its economical in terms of fuel consumption as well as maintenance.

    thank you

Go for Altis or Gli model 2010 etc
Fuel avg is 11 in city drive.
Japanese cars are good in fuel avg but you can't find good car. Cars from japan usually morethan 100k kms driven plus maintenance cost is very high if something happen. you won't get premio or feilder of your choice in 1.7 million.
hybrid cars like aqua or fit aren't fit for family in my view.
Toyota altis or gli 2010 is good for you. 60 to 80 kms driven easily fit in your budget.
civic reborn fuel economy is very bad.

Lots of ways to attempt to protect it but no surety. So the risk is your choice, from my study and understanding, there are two things, which if installed, after that, they have very little chance of being stolen. I could inbox them to you if you want, won't want to disclose it publicly since this information can be used by anyone and everyone 😜

Altis comes to mind considering fuel consumption, power and durability as well as space. But the SECURITY risk, as in I see corollas stolen around me. I know 4 people who had their cars stolen, 3 corollas one civic. So it kind of seems like a thief's delight.
I know it sounds silly as its the most common car around.

    Yeah I knew.
    I have installed 15 immobilizer costs 10k.
It's not full security but still you can rely on it.
car stop after 10 secs if it's away from remote provided by 15.
Theives don't have time to look for it and understand that something installed. Coz it's not a tacker device where they just use jammer.

where can i get such a thing? I have seen a friend's car, it had two buttons under the seat and they were to be pressed thrice in a specific order to start the car(or to keep it running), i don't know how that worked though.

yeah, because city's clearance is not very good with four to five people in it on our roads, civic barely has any leg space for rear seats. Left with corolla as the only option. as I NEED a sedan

There are many security features available in aftermarket.
I am talking about 15 immobilizer.
you can get from any 15 police office in punjab and islamabad.
15 locks are good and reliable so far.

I am currently in a similar dilemma as you are and I am gonna sacrifice on the model and buy a nice clean 2004-2006 premio. In this amount, the 1.5 is preferred, but a clean 1.8 can also be located. If you want something newer, a 2008 axio is for sale, looks mighty clean, driven 92k, asking 16.4

If u dont care much about resale, u can get a very good Nissan Wingroad in 11-12.5 lac. It is a wonderful and luxurious station wagon, with resale being the only major limitation.
    Desire is irrelevant!!!!!!

i would consider these three if i were in your situation. Honda City, Toyota axio, 2012 GLI 1.3 MT or a 1.6 AT. you cant go wrong with any of these three. they are economical and have a good resale value in the market. i would choose AXIO over the other two.

Well If it's going to be a Family Car then Fit SHUTTLE Hybrid can also be considered, in this budget it falls nicely for a Family car. The Engine is no doubt 1.3 Ltr But it's Horse power is pretty much same to a 1.5 Ltr Gasoline engine, In Lahore the HONDA 3s also provides maintenance service for it & to my knowledge general parts are available
& Of course, It's Undeniable that the quality of JDM cars can't be compared to Local ones.
At last do your own research of the market in which city you live & other necessary knowledge.
