Default Budget 13-14 Lacs: Honda City 2013 (Prosmetic) or Toyota Passo 2013

I am a normal car user in Karachi with 600-1000 kms travel a month. I have a budget of 1.3 to 1.4 million where I require an Auto vehicle with comfortable drive, cabin space for family, fuel economical and ofcourse considerable resale.

Evaluating various options, I got stuck between Honda City Prosmetic 2013 (worth between 13-14.5 lacs) and Passo 2013 (New worths 13-14 lacs and used for 12 ish lacs). I need your opinions on both. Passo would be new and City would be used; consumption of passo would be better, but parts would be expensive.

Members, kindly help me sort things out. I occasionally travel to Hyderabad and currently using Honda Civic VTI Oriel 2004 Prosmetic....

Passo would not be a new car- it would be a used imported car. Considering the driving conditions in Karachi, I would advise you to go for the City. It would be easy to find spares, cheaper as well... and the car has dealership support plus it has a boot.

City over Passo anyday. But if you can somehow squueze a Corolla in that busget it would be the best option, even more so if you insure your cars.

    I would go for City.

Very precise and correct approach. I had the same views but was inclined towards Passo due to hatchback and imported for good performance. But the parts expense is definitely an important area.

Can anyone suggest which city is better and how i.e. City 2011 AT(1.3) or City 2013 onwards Prosmetic (1.3)? Is there a difference in transmission here and if so does it affects fuel average?

    A quicker reply is appreciated!

Prosmatec is a bit better than automatic and has slightly better fuel economy! I have driven one and I'd say that it is a mix of conventional automatic gearbox and cvt transmission or you could say something between that
