I think build quality would be much better of Japanese Alto than Pakistan Alto ! Parts availability is also not much of a problem (unless its Automatic) BUT Resale wont be as good as Pakistani ALto.

Also note that Japenese alto is 660cc and will feel a little underpowered when compared with Pakistani Alto !

Build quality ---- lot better than local Alto
Parts -------- body parts are same engine parts different
    resale ---------- poor
value --------------- Better than Khyber because of options like powersteering ABS Air bag Seatbelts AC

This car is feasible only if you get it for around 325k to max 350k for 2002-03 model else local should be the better option. Japanese cultus is also a good alternate option.

Build Quality of Japan Made Alto is obviously V good.
Resale will be good but not upto the mark as compared with Pakistani.

Body parts, Lights etc are same as Pakistani one.

    Plus points includes
ABS Breaks, Air Bags, Power Stearing, Power Windows, Rear Seat Belts etc..

Negative Points.. Its 660CC ... Engine Parts may cause Problems.. Old Model, Expensive then Pakistani.
You can change the engine later on, when it require major maintenance.

I think you should not worry about engine, if you want more power just swap with Pakistani alto engine
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.
