    Default Tappit adjustment of Civic VTI , 25000 odometer

    I need to know when should I get tappit adjustmnet of my civic VTI, current odometer is 25000, what is recomendation by Honda


    I lost my user manaual, if any one can reffer any link for that as well.......

    are u sure its 25000 on the odometer ??imho, at twentyfive thousand kms u should not be needing tappet adjustments at all unless ur engine is screwed

    thanks Ahsan, it was recomended by Honda Mechanic but I refused , I told him that engine sound is excelent and I have 24500 KM on odometer, why do I need that...

    i doubt u need any tapet adjustment... at 24500, a properly maintained car is as good as a brandnew one .. and brand new cars dont need tapets being adjusted .. may be its a money making ploy by the mechanic

    you gota be kidding man...... adjustment just after 25k km... yar honda's vtec engines are considered to be bullet proof, if you maintain it right i will say no wotk till atleast 150k km...

    my 2nz-fe is working like a charm at 110k km...
    its all about power to weight ratio...

    no harm in getting themc hecked. Non hydraulic Tappets require some attention for sure.

    Spectra, there is no issue , car is runing excelent on petrol and CNG. no difference of engine sound since I bought this car. Do you think I should get it checked.....

    well I dont know much about tuning civics etc but recently I took my baleno for a tuneup @ suzuki township and they checked and adjusted the tappets IN the tuning and total cost was Rs.200. My suggestion is that you should let the mechanic check the tapets and if they need adjustment let him do so.
