I think insurance will be a killer for you, and even if you're listed as an occasional driver will cost u an arm and a leg, and a bit more...
I do however think that as a first car it's not a very logical choice, you're 16, obviously not too experienced in driving and I would hate to see you succumb to peer group pressure and end up wrapping your car around a tree Asthaghfirullah and trust me I've seen that happen a lot,
Thinking logically rather than being emotionally charged and high on carbon monoxide engine fumes, I'd recommend you give it a few years before you enter the big boys league, for now concentrate on getting some no claims bonus and experience under your belt. Then work your way towards a high performance vehicle, thats just my tuppence, the rest is up to you...
