as far as the pak assembled cars are concerned, honda's quality is no doubt on the better side. as far as this incident is concerned, i guess it can happen to ANY car ANYTIME (YET another reason to drive within safety limits)
coming on to the civic broken in two, i clearly remember these pictures when i saw them abt 5 years back. this was the guy who was driving on the main islamabad highway headed towards zero point trying to prove his car could do the full meter. guess what....he even DID that as he got a snap from his mobile phone (the cell was found at the accident place). the co-driver was his friend and just seconds after getting the snap, he lost the control and hit the trees on the roadside. he died on the spot whereas MIRACULOUSLY his friend survived the accident with some injuries.
i guess we shall not expect ANY car to be hitting a tree @ 190km/hr approx and then expecting it to be MILDLY damaged. what happened was SUPPOSED to happen, and i m sure it will happen to any other car on the planet depending upon the angle of incidence with the object
MORAL OF THE STORY : drive slow
