Many automakers in US, actually are very interested in buying back their first ever made cars. Ford, has bought back its first Mustang, and it stands in Henry Ford Museum in Detroit Michigan, along with many other first ever famous cars.
Nice to see such a history making car.. congratulations for owning such a historic car Beeberg.
If we think about it, the Suzuki 800 (as it was called back then I think, and then later on Suzuki FX) was the first assembled car in Pakistan. It provided transport to the many Lakh people, with an affordable Brand new car. An option that was not available previously, to the general public.
The Suzuki FX, changed alot of things, it not only provided a cheaper mode of transport, but also put Pakistan on the way to develop its own auto-industry. The FX was later updated with slight modifications by the Japs and made into an ALTO, that car has also been doing wonders.
Now, we finally are able to design and make our own Pakistani Car, REVO, relying on all the expertise and experience Pakistan's vending industry gained, while making these Suzuki products, starting from Suzuki 800 (FX).
That was a good trip back to short but interesting auto-industry history of Pakistan....prompted by viewing the first ever Suzuki 800 (FX) in Pakistan belonging to Beeberg Bhai.
