I'm sure having a company maintained Land cruiser puts you out of perspective with an everyday diesel owner. I admit diesels sound rather inviting given the skyrocketing prices of petrol, but it remains a fact that diesels are expensive posesions given their design (being higher compression and all that Jazz) although considered efficent are nevertheless polluting. Worldwide preference for petrols should be sufficent proof. Periodic maintenence is more frequent than petrol, different metallurgy sees a hike in spares.
Our gasoline vehicles have seen little change if any thanks to rising fuel quality but commonrails still seem a fair bit away. Its a fact and you'd agree that diesels are optioned given their "simplicity" being older designs rather than any other significant forethought. I'm sure gentleman such as yourself belong to a more well informed niche but the fact of the matter is, diesels have always been out gunned, out revved and out performed by their gasoline bretheren.
Nice website by the way!
