Head to Head: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 vs. 2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
PANTHEON SHAKE-UP
Okay, the ZR1 has a few faults: It's still not as supersexysleek as a Ferrari. But never mind. Performance-wise, the ZR1 trumps the 599 GTB in almost every objective category. It's also about one-third the Ferrari's price. Which is to say, Chevy's newest Vette has earned a rightful, exalted spot in the Pantheon of supercars. Moreover, it represents a milestone in the history of General Motors: The ZR1 is the first-ever Corvette without lampreys.
