Bought this about ten days ago. 1998 Mitsubishi Shogun, 2.8 Diesel Turbo Intercoooler. 2006 import, 2006 registered. Still have the RKR, this is more for family use. The car was in sound mechanical condition, but the rear and front bumpers and other plastic panels were damaged. Still have a few things left to complete. Read on. Here are the good bits, and the things still needed to be improved:
Good stuff:
All 7 seats and interior panels are leather. Cruise control (works), Soft-Medium-Hard suspension settings (work), front foggers (don't work yet), rear differential and center differential locks (work), rear foggers (work), front seat shocks (work), Power mode and snow crawler mode (work), heated seats (work), front headlight washers (work), ABS (works), navigation panel (altimeter doesn't work, tilt warner and temp gauge work), dual airbags (don't know if they work, hope I never find out), Sunroof (works, but needs greasing), headlight angular adjustment (work), dim/raise interior light switch (works). rear AC (works, needs servicing).
Improvements needed:
Need to change the number plate! Need to correct the headlight angles, its too high. Need to find the center cups for the rims from Bilal Gunj. Need to change the jaali of the silencer. There are a couple of dings and dangs most probably from a cricket ball (tape) hitting the body hard, will have to leave them as it it. A few scratches that you expect from a 11 year old car.
I am really enjoying it so far. Made a trouble free trip to Islamabad on it yesterday alone.
Here are a few pictures, as always, will be looking for help from Pakwheelers and 4x4 enthusiasts for support and advice.
Apologies for the very average pics, all taken with my phone.
RKR.
