There are FWDs which are examples of engineering like many Alfa Romeos, some Hondas (like the Integra or the CTR), the Mini Cooper etc.
FWD is easy for stupid drivers to handle as it doesn't suffer oversteer, understeer is a bit safer for idiot drivers. FWD also enhances fuel efficiency, increases cabin room etc. So there's a reason it has a place in the world.
I firmly believe that RWD should be reserved for luxury saloons and sports cars. However we've seen examples of FWDs which have luxury and some amazing FWD cars which kick **** on the track.
Personally I'm a fan of RWD but it really is not meant for our average idiot drivers (whom we have an abundance of).
I'd really rather not see every moron in a shoebox drifting dangerously around corners going into poles and footpaths. Tokyo Drift at every corner
