Geely, along with Chery and Shengrui, have strong plans for their own gearbox line up in 2010 and 2011. Shengrui recently launched their 8 speed unit, while Chery launched their CVT unit over the weekend, and Geely joined the fray this morning with the six speed auto box to the left.
Geely’s gearbox comes from its Australian gearbox company, DSI Transmissions, that it bought early last year and gave it a massive jump in the auto gearbox markets. The new gearbox is likely to be featured on around 9 different models from next year onwards, and another 7 speed model is currently in development.
