well,
what a mess....
i contacted an army official over there, he strictly forbid me to take over that expedtion in current moment. according to him, if and if the lake brust (spill way has been cracked and cant say when dam brust out. it may take a sec, an hour, a day or a month), then u wont be able to see raikot bridge at least.... you can imagine the intensity of water power.
if the dam brust during those 10 to 12 hours in which we are on KKH than one can imagine the result...
2ndly we are going there for excursion, for enjoyment, for having fun,,,, i am an EX rock climber, have won some competitions as well, i have been a free climber. i know how to take risk and risk taking must always be calculated. in this case i am unable to calculate the risk. it is only 1% or it can be 99%. so why not to take calculated risks.
after words i have called my other senior trekkers for any alternate as we have to go some where.
@ asad
brother i have been trekking since my childhood, even on the shoulders of my dad. no problem of that issue, the trek via shounter pass to keil and than back to neeleum valley or to kaghan valley is like a dream come true, major problem is of leave....
i have got only 10 days in my pocket.....
@mohamadahmed
brother, the way u are suggesting is really a tough and excellent trek but i think u havent crosed even deosai by trek from sadpara to astore...i have done it in 3 days and two nights and in july snow was there, no jeep was crossing the kalapani at that time due to heavy rush of water...
the trek u are suggesting is a long trek starting from sadpara lake to deosai to chillamchouki to shounter pass to keil to sharda to neeleum or keil to sharda to nori nar to jalkhad/ batakundi.(no jeeps would be available at this instance of time)
it is a separate and long trek with reliable guide.
Result:
if i have to attempt shounter pass in emergency than why not should i only attempt shounter pass. inspite of being stuck in heavy rush or anything (again condition if lake broke.)
so i now am heading towards the snowy trek from neeleum valley...
i dont know i will be heading towards shounter pass or towards nori nar to batakandi.
as conditions apply i will define my route over there...
hope every thing ends well.
but i am sad... i have worked on haramosh have studied a lot but this year i couldnt reach there...........
