The roads condition in Afghanistan are quit good. Our route (Torkham, Jalalabad, Kabul, Salang pass, Pul Khumri, Kunduz, Bunder Sher Khan) lies in Northern Afghanistan which is quite safe. There are check posts all along this route and there is no difference traveling in day or night. In fact there are approx 5000 Pakistanis working in different capacities in Afghanistan. The Afghan economy is booming due to US Dollars inflow. One Afghani is equal to two Pak Rupees, and Tajikistan is having the same fate giving NATO the required facilities and building a new bridge in 2007 at Bunder Sher Khan, Tajikistan is the nearest central asian country to Pakistan. The country is worth visiting. The route is quite safe and no military along the route.
