Don't want to get in any arguements here, but the Volkswagen in INDIA, had all the INDIANS in the management, as all of the foreign companies are required to hired INDIANS at the top. Only in Pakistan we let the foreigners come and run the business their way. The result is obvious, Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, all the assemblers have Japanese names like Kiazawa, Miki-ichu, etc. as the directors of operations, CEOs of Pakistan operations, are acting very greedy,
, and not investing in new products, or only bring in the product years after it has been introduced all over the world. Suzuki is still making Mehran, 20 years old model, with no immediate plans of re-shaping its design, with local talent, and according to local requirements. Revo is completely designed by Pakistanis, and meets the needs of a family, much better, has more room inside, and still have some room left for the baggage in the rear boot area.
Germans, I am not saying are corruption free, but they would not have been involved in Indian corruption scandal.
In the transparency international report, the most Corrupt countries were from our Sub-continent and Africa. While the least corrupt were in Western Europe (including Germany). U.S. was number 17th out of 150 or so. Pakistan did improve a bit, it was 121 on the list. India was 140th on the list of corruption free country. Mozambique (Africa) one of poorest of the countries, was the most corrupt at 150th rank.
