over my head I dont recall - but its the same unit that comes attached to 4AFE too.
raw..
The measures to take are ensure the high pressure switch is actually functioning and be positively sure that your expansion valve is in perfect working order, The newer corollas require removal of the entire dashboard to service the A/C (the TXV valves installed by Indus motors are not good) - most shops would not take such a job as it takes one whole day to service and put back. a malfucntioning H block TXV will block gas flow and literally blow apart the compressor if the high pressure cut off switch is not working - (most A/C shops in Pakistan cut that first - because the snooty and snobby car owners want their 2D A/C to perform like a VW Phaeton A/C regardless of temperature)
Secondly when the A/C shops discharge the gas - oil is lost too, and they do not put in the required and recommended oil for 134 as it is very very expensive, Rs 12,000 for a 4 litre bottle. Ive seen some shops put in ester oil (of R12) in R134 units. I wanted to cry/laugh at the same time.
A collection of the above causes failures left and right. Ever wonder why people in other countries are not changing A/C compressors every year. I used to own a 1997 Camry 3.0 here in the US - I recently sold it with 200,000 miles (320,000 kms) it was using the original 10 cylinder denso compressor that the toyota factory put in (same corolla compressor). I did however have service records that the TXV and drier were replaced in 2005.
Measure for yourself now.
