Before buying any imported car check the car throughly
there is some help on this link
http://www.samarins.com/check/mileage.html
Excellent piece of info Jc!
Adeel boss, the point mentioned are good, but in PAK, the seats can be repaired(more foam), tyres can be changed, what not....
More of a common sense than checking the odometer in thios article
(y) good info
True but there's always signs that give the age of the car away. Most cars get a T-Belt sticker. Given the way customer retention works in Pakistan, its fairly easy to check if newer cars have a tampered ODO. Older cars i agree are harder to check.
What is T-Belt sticker ?
When you get your T-Belt (timing belt) replaced, a sticker is usually displayed with the mileage at which the belt was replaced. Usually found on the timing belt cover.
good info
I have changed the T-Belt, but there is no such sticker on the belt or given by the seller. Even there was no sticker on the old one.
i always check T-Belt sticker whenever i have to buy a qabuli engine. It sure helps a lot in extimating mileage. Usualy these stickeres are in place.
Do u open the engine? do they allow such checking?
at the most u can open the tappet cover. That too if u have some good tems with the kabariya.
