I agree with the poster on some points.
Peshawar has lost its beauty and charm, it has got too much traffic, and the reason is not only these nakas but also the construction activities that they started at different places at the same time. e.g. at Ring road (hayatabad to city), gulbahar, chargano chowk etc. These stupid govt should have done it in stages and in a very fast speed.
I understand the poster's feelings as I too get very much frustrated because of the rush and waiting in long long queues when going through cantt and the nearby areas almost daily. especially when there is a provincial assembly session then dont even think of going outside home if you live in nearby areas. last month on the occasion of senate voting (i think) i had to wait and spend 4,5 hours in the queues only for a distance of 2-3 km.
The army people never stoped me when i am with family, but when alone they check the id card and let u go. but the poster may be right as the do sometime stop people. one thing is either keep isb or peshawar number car then in most cases they wont stop u.
Exactly if they shift all the army offices/homes from cant areas and khyber road plus assembly to outside city , everything will be solved.
