Dear Youngsters,
I would like to advice anyone who would listen, If you want to do something in life, learn something practical. Evaluate what you want to do with your life. Don't just go to Schools or Universities if you just want to pass time, look at young girls, etc. It will be a huge waste of your time and waste of your Parent's hard earned money.
Learn something practical, where you can use your brain and hands at the same time. Go to some reputable Vocational instituion, for something practical like HVAC System, like A/C System repair, which there is huge demand for A/C Technicians in Hot countries of the Gulf.
If you like fixing things, then why not look into Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship, offered by PIA in Karachi. The Airplanes always need fixing and Gulf Countries usually are good places to work for the Airlines now, Emirates, Etihad, etc. are Gulf Based, and we all know Arabs in Gulf don't like fixing things, so they look for Pakistanis, Indians and others for Technical Jobs and they pay very good with little or no taxes.
Even in America now, BBA is not worth anything, I have seen MBA's in America going broke and doing basic restaurant and gas station jobs just to survive, and going back to School in their late 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, and getting divorced because of choice of a bad career and going back to University, or community colleges for something in Healthcare field, or Engineering, Computer Networking IT field.
So, I would highly recommend either going for Engineering, Accounting, or anything in Medical field, IT Related, if offered in Pakistan, like Radiologist, X-Ray Lab Technician, Aircraft Mechanic, A/C Technician,
Wish you and all the youngster in Pakistan, trying to decide what to do with your careers, Best of Luck. A true advice comes rarely, and that from someone's personal experience in Priceless. I wish when I was your age, someone would have told me NOT to do BBA, which I did in USA where I have been since I was 12 years old. I now am in the Medical Field after going thru some rough patches in life and wish someone could have told me earlier when I was a teenager not to waste my time in BBA, Shee B A. related paper only worthless degrees.
Other people with experience can add to the List of Careers Youngsters can choose, as a nation we need to guide each other better. Thank you all.
