@tilism, relax bro. I know ya r a gudd driver, now ya r happy.
@anticng grp, use of CNG got nothing to do with environment, nd such kinda stuff its all abt household economics.
As far as use of CNG in luxury or what ya call 1600 CC + engine is concerned I guess its quite fair enough. If one is more concerned with commuting rather then the overall driving experiance.
My personal idea is that, if I am going to buy a good badge it automatically increases ma overall goodwill in services industry, noone is gettin into ma trunk and checkin out what I am driving either it is Petrol or CNG. I cannot enjoy petrol's sheer excitement in ma bimmer in rush hour traffic of Karachi, rather it really make me think couple of time while handing over the 1000 Rs. note everyday to the petrol filler every morning and reminds me constantly to keep ma foot light on the accelerator. If I am ever going to buy a luxury vehicle which includes in ma list the euro models not the usual Japenese stuff, I will going to buy a CNG pump first so that ma luxury will always remain on break even rather then on the downside of household economics. And I will run ma car on petrol.
One of ma cousin owns a LS400 in Khi and running it on CNG, another friend of mine is driving his Cherokee on CNG, ma neighbours are driving a C-180 nd a Grand Cruiser on CNG. And all of them are happy with the basic economics.
As far as the danger interms of engine and that kinda stuff is concerned most of the luxury cars are designed for unleaded feul which we ain't got in Pakistan. We don gotta gudd quality high octane. Petrol is a dollar a litre. In States everyone uses petrol coz average joe makes something around 15k$ annually on the lower side.
I don't believe that ther is a danger in the use of CNG as far as safety is concerned coz more die annually in our country by mosquitos then by CNG.
@mics420,
I second ya in every aspect pointing out.
No offence meant to ne ways and kindly do talk abt numbers as far CNG is concerned coz I maself is a pretty gudd number cruncher.
Thnxx..
